Good morning, folks! The alarm woke me up so, I must have had a good sleep. It's supposed to snow all day today. Does anyone have bird feeders set up? What kind of birds do you see? Last week all the sparrows were excited and chirping at the "warmish " weather. Now their teeth are chattering-oh no, those are my teeth!

Cabbie-I'm glad that you have finally found a regular doctor. Nat-I'm happy that you are getting in-home services.

Dan, weren't you doing some renos on that new home? How is everything going?

Hello my friends.
I'm feeling so much better, finally, and just may be close to normal again, thanks to all of you. Of course I still need to get the results from all the tests & biopsies, but fingers crossed, this may be over.

@22hicks, it's so nice to see you here this morning; I thought of you yesterday and wondered how you're doing but being under the weather myself today also, I just sat around, watching tv and suffering beautifully. It's just one of those miserable sore throats....good for dieting, though!! My silver lining! Stay well and I wish for great, happy results from all those horrid tests!!

@avoncallingu, the kids had a wonderful vacation and as you can imagine, having met her, our DD now simply cannot DO without a private pool off their patio..hahaha!!! Me? I'd be happy to go to Toronto for a change of scenery!!
They met with their ktichen designers this morning, and since we weren't able to join them for lunch, they'll pop by later with all the news...good news, I hope!!

Other than that, still puttering around here, waiting for camping season again, looking forward to seeing all our fellow campers after this long winter. It's so much fun catching up, so many interesting people.

Okay, off to find a soup broth I can sip...and then a nap after the kids leave.

Is everyone planning on being up at 5:30am for the opening of the Olympic games, or more like us: pvr-ing it all?

So, it didn't happen Monday.....or Tuesday....or today.

My mind just isn't right
( @Lynn49 don't you dare jump at that sentence )
I mean in the past my mind was always first in the planning of it, often supported by visualization which happened naturally... say as I drifted off to sleep.
Then the excitement of beginning would happen, but sadly, there has been NOTHING happening yet.

I bought a few fresh produce items on Monday to kick start me, I even bought a bottle of Braggs Apple Cider vinegar. Haven't touched either yet.

It will happen, I just think I am not nearly mad enough at myself yet.

This morning was a crazy cautious drive to and from my nearby WM. Having to clear the windows all off for a second time before I came back home just showed me how fast the white stuff was falling!
Experienced a rather " hard sell " from the cashier over did I want their WM Mastercard.
The usual shpeel they give, I am used to that....I usually respond to their comments with " I have better reward cards already thank you "

But this gal....she had me convinced that WM has changed something in their MC agreement ....does anyone know HAVE THEY?
She kept talking about how much the " average " customer gets back in cash each month....bla, bla, bla.
I was polite, told her I would check it out online first to see if it was more appealing than before.
She continued with " there is no annual fee" and I responded with " neither do any of mine...I would NEVER pay a company to use a CC "

So if any of ya know about some incredible info regarding WM Mastercard feel free to pm me or post!

Well it finally stopped snowing here, I don't think we got near the 10cm they were calling for. I hope everyone is having a good day!

Indeed we are...
Right now I'm sorting out some issues with our garage door installation, and organizing a contractor to come in to repair some settling cracks in our foundation walls. Also prepping our bed room and main floor living spaces for priming and painting this weekend!

Clear and an anticipated high of -14c...still no snow...only 12 inches or so on the ground ...makes it hard to go snowmobiling but going anyway. Going to make a couple of batches of cookies this afternoon and figure out dinner.
