Good Morning, folks! Already over 2" of snow out there and it's determined to keep going. But it's pretty.
Awakened from a dead sleep by an UN-needed phone call this morning. Trying to shake the "greeblies" out of my brain.
I hope Rufus gets a good result at the vet.
Yes, Dan, the migration to the southern climes will have started. I could never see the use of spending loads of money for just a week away, but then, I never was aware of cruises when I was teaching. My BrotherB and his family will start their treck about 30 seconds after the bell rings this afternoon.
In about an hour, I will have another "set-to" with my demands if the day, but for now- just a little wake u time. It's times like these that I wish I drank coffee. - especially when I see pictures like the one you posted dededi.
Nice to have visitors, flemeth. Lots of entertaining times and fun.

Enjoy your Friday.Last edited by avoncallingu; Fri, Mar 9th, 2018 at 10:07 AM.

Good morning!
So glad we don't change time, just one less thing to deal with.
Little dusting of snow here, milder temps.
Enjoy the day!

Good morning, everyone!!!
Off to Fabricland today, with DH driving. Yesterday I drove about 1km from our house when I realized I was a hazzard on the road and was likely heading for an accident because of my eye-sight, so I turned back and came home.
SO incredibly disappointed and sad. If I ever lose my independence I don't know what I'll do!!! Some days my eyes are okay, others, like yesterday, just can't trust 'em. So I'm looking up eye surgeons in Toronto (none here), anyone who ISN'T Dr Kraft (did not like him) for surgery on my strabismus (double-vision). I guess it's time.
So!! Kids are at Great Wolf Lodge in Boyne, anyone else heading out of town?? I'm with you, @walkonby, I have no idea when March break is anymore...it was a time, however when my late BFF and I avoided the mall at all costs!! Ugh. Kids. Primarily ugh to teenagers!!
We've had a light snow dusting, nothing to worry about, spring is on its way.
Have a great day, everyone!!

My best March break is when I managed to get 2 weeks off in high school. My dad had booked a trip to Colombia South America a week before the actual March break and asked if I wanted to go. I went to the principal and asked if I could have that extra week off because my dad wants to go to South America. He said yes and it sounds like a good chance for you and he would tell all my teachers. I tell people in one of my classes and one student says that's no big deal who cares about BC lol. I'm like not British Columbia, Colombia South America.
Anyway the extra week I had off one of my classes read a book. The first day back after the actual March break the teacher had a test on this book. I say but I didn't read the book and the teacher says well just try your best. So I ask another student to read the synopsis on the back of his book and then I took the test and I got 97% which the teacher said she had to reduce to 94% because my answers were too short. I'm like of course they were too short I never read the book lol. Someone in class asks so who got the highest mark and the teacher says it was me. To which the student replies wait how's that possible he's never here haha.

Morning folks! Off to staff the phones at my BrotherR's Kinsman/Kinette TV auction. Incredible organization went into this! Over 200 items to bid on. Should be a busy day.
Have a fun Saturday and DON'T FORGET TO TURN YOUR CLOCKS AHEAD- except for Natalka, of course!
Bye!

enjoy your family time @flemeth ....My busy time in the kitchen started this morning with the push of 1 button!
I set my self cleaning oven to do its thing.....so that will eat up 4.5 hrs.
Both the oven and cook top lock out when it cleans, so I " can't cook " OOPS!! ha ha ha ha
Rufus had his follow up vet appt yesterday. Not the best news but the vet says there are still some treatments we can try to hopefully rid Rufus of that ulcer in his left eye, trying to avoid taking him to a doggy eye specialist which would be the last resort.
Anyhow, poor pooch must continue to wear his cone 24/7 and now I have 2 sets of eye drops to administer to him.
One is a different antibiotic and the other one is a serum they made using some of Rufus own blood.....THAT one sounded uber creepy to me but if it may work I'll try it.
To complicate matters the antibiotic is every 6 hrs but the serum is every 8 hrs. Oh and the serum must stay in the fridge.
Like Rufus hasn't had enough to deal with...... NOW he gets to have a cold wet drop put in his eye.
Man if dogs could talk I am sure he would be cursing us right now.
Oh....funny sidebar.
Murphy is the most jealous dog ever! We can never pet the cats or Rufus or give out treats without him pushing himself in between and demanding HIS attention. He'll climb right on top of Rufus to get attention.
If he even hears me greeting the cats at various times during the day ( yes I talk to my furbabies! ) the whining starts and I have to walk over to where he is and give him a belly rub and a head pat, assuring him that HE is the favourite....lol.
Anyhow, he was noticing that for a few weeks now Rufus has been getting these eyedrops....well special attention lets say,
and he hasn't. So now after we do the drops to Rufus we close the cap on the bottle and pretend to put drops in his eye too! He is so adorable too, waiting and we talk to him and say " o.k. now it is your turn for a drop "
The things we do to keep our pets happy!!! ha ha
