"Catch him, Debbie!"???!!! What the heck was that coward doing besides hiding and screaming?!!!
I couldn't watch all of it...the poor wee thing was probably scared to death!! Just keep those kitchen doors closed, let the poor muffin land, then scoop her up. They're more afraid of us than we should be of them! Stupid people.Last edited by Lynn49; Thu, Sep 6th, 2018 at 06:29 PM.

Good morning, although the good part hasn't begun for me yet.
I'm barely walking inches at a time, so that's nasty...
During the aft yesterday, I felt something was off with me, and then that something hit mid-evening - serious gut pain, then on the can for the next few hours. Boy, it was awful. I felt better about midnight, then couldn't sleep, so was up most of the night.
Sure hoping that bug is gone. I don't think I could handle more.
Hoping nurse comes to deal with my wounds today, some are painful. Otherwise, my regular check-up is tomorrow.
So I am hoping this day is manageable.
Hoping you all have a good Friday!

My goodness what a slow morning around here!!
I slept in 'till 10:30. Stupid neighbours next door...6:23am, dog barking, kids yelling, couple talking outside!! What the hell??!! Just because they have to leave for work at 6am doesn't mean we all have to!! Crap.
DH and SIL are off to their weekend club tournament, so they'll be missing for a few days. And what a gorgeous weekend for them!!! I think I'll hop in the car and visit a few stores today; it feels weird not to be at camp for the weekend, though....
Are any of you listening to Obama's mid-term speech?!! Wow!!! He opened by saying that it's been traditional for x-presidents to retire from the public scene and not interfere with the new president, but in this case, he's speaking as a citizen, to strongly encourage people to get out and VOTE for DEMOCRACY! Boy, that man can sure deliver a speech!! Can he run for president again? Please??I'm pvr-ing it for later.
Have a wonderful day, everyone!!

Lynn, I know you will miss camp, but it's great you can get out and about.
We have a wonderful police service here, aside from their work, this is another reason

An adventurous day all around!
Nat - hope that everything settled down for you and you could get some sleep and relief from the pain in your legs.
My gosh - you are being tested like JOB! And you can still wish the best for other people! Do you think it might have been stomach flu?
Am so tired that I have to go and sit down and just chill for a while.
LONGGGG but nice day.
If neighbours DARE to wake me up in the morning - I'll sick my toothless doggie on them!
Take care, everyone!

Thanks, Avon.
Yes, I am pretty sure it was just a bout of stomach flu. I have been okay today. I didn't eat much during the day, but sure wanted a good supper, and I have been okay since then.
Interesting you mention being tested, I think of that a lot. Husband just gets dismayed and can't understand how I can handle getting something else yet heaped upon me, saying I of anyone could use a break already.
You have been so busy! You deserve a good, long break!
Had a good visit and chances for a few nice long talks with my son, so we had laughs, we had serious discussions, but mostly he just fills my 💓!
Hoping we all get good sleeps tonight!Last edited by Natalka; Fri, Sep 7th, 2018 at 10:43 PM.

A few weeks ago I unsuccessfully attempted to kill a wolf spider (guessing that's what it is) in the house by throwing a book on him. He lifted it off and threw it aside, then ran under the couch. I named him Jerry to make him seem less scary. I didn't see him again.... until just now. Jerry lives and breathes and still scuttles very quickly. He scared the crap out of me when I moved one of my plant pots. This time he was smart and ran directly under the couch instead of flipping me off from across the living room, thereby not giving me a chance to grab a heavy, blunt object. Jerry must die. Although, upon reflection, I haven't seen any other insects in the house, including those creepy house centipedes. Do I take the good with the bad or do I squash the living daylights out of Jerry?

Good morning!
Happy Caturday!
A very tough night for me.
Woke up to a thunderstorm, so odd for the morning, but we welcome the rain.
Happy weekend, everyone!

Hi @Tierra Lemieux ! Welcome to the chat! The Jake that I believe you are referring to belongs to a longtime SC member. He is quite small and is, I belive, Havanese.
