Legal pot is big business-and small business too. Question is does one support it because it will stimulate the economy? Is money worth compromising principles?
Frankly, I am glad to see that people who have been stuck with criminal convictions for really minimal infractions may be able to wipe their slate clean.

Anyone who is rushing to the forefront to try it now is probably just curious.

I wish we could turn our attention on much more, in my opinion, evil crimes like human trafficking , and spousal abuse. Pot smokers are not really noted for flying into a rage and beAting people up. What about opioid abuse- much more dangerous, I believe. Lack of appropriate housing and care for the poor. Elder abuse.

I feel that if someone wants to get stoned and get the munchies- how is that different from over use of alcohol or tobacco that has lots of evidence it will kill you.

In my humble opinion.

Lots to think about for sure, @avoncallingu ...so many important issues impacting the lives of so many vulnerable people.
But hey! Let's keep people stoned and oblivious!

I think that old adage of "stay away from politics and religion" would be good advice -people obviously have strong opinions on both sides of this issue.

Roads are pretty slick here.

Went to Michael's today to get a cemetery saddle. The woman said that Michael's no longer has Floral arrangers in-store any more and they haven't had cemetery saddles in months. 70%off fall arrangements, though.

Got some stickers to make faces on my pumpkins so I can cut them up later. Also got some "paint it yourself" Christmas kind of shadow boxes that I am going to send out west. Was looking for small, plastic, red balls so that I can make up the Christmas decorations for the cast members of our play. Couldn't find any -imagine that! Then I had the idea to make up a little newspaper ornament with the Headline, "Yes, Virginia, There IS a Santa Claus!

My, were we the chatty bunch last evening.

Good morning all.
Snowed at home last night...weirdest thing though. Back yard and rest of property, white blanket (accumulated enough to show white, and stayed over night) front yard...green as can be, like a cool spring morning.
@Natalka , -4 when we left this morning...high of 16 tomorrow though!

took me just under 2hrs to get home last night because of a 20km backup on the 401....
I don't know about this commute... moving west sucks when you have to commute to your job in a different city

I haven't peeked out yet, hope the sidewalks are dry. I wasn't risking going flying off our front steps again last night so Tootie missed her late walk.

Got my applicant review done last night for our new minister. So now we set up visitations for those we feel we really wish to consider.

I have misplaced a couple of key things including a cheque I was going to put in the bank yesterday. I have to do some re-tracing of my steps. I was at the dr. and then filled up my car at Canadian Tire car wash before I drove Michael's and then to the bank. Yikes, lots of running around and calls to make.

Well, on with a chilly day!

@avoncallingu , sure hope you locate that cheque. If not, you can probably have it re-issued.

@Newfiescreech , Avon and I actually have shopped for fabric in her neck of the woods, so you're bang on. My late friend and I used to spend many hours at the fabricstore here, planning our projects, sewing...I seem to doing that with another friend here now...introduced her to quilting, created a monster, lol!! It's a nice hobby for sure, along with my watercolours and cardmaking.

No snow here way up north, @danger_dan ! but it is cold!

@c_mcarthur ...do you drive into the big city from Mississauga?! Wow...must take hours driving west on that 401 heading home! Stay safe out there!

Our temp went up to 21 yesterday, will be 17 today. Husband is working outside, do it's good for him.
