Found the cheque!!! It was From Social Security so I was dreading taking that one on!

I had slipped it into a little booklet in my purse so that it wouldn't get lost -Oiy!

@Lynn49 - I just dug out all those little t-shirts that you adjusted for Tootie and also her tootsey socks. There was ice on the grass this morning when we took our walk.

Now to find a book I borrowed and need to give back. Looks like a "lucky find" day.

I am so looking forward to the day when I can sit down and start sewing up some of the projects that I want to complete.

@c_mcarthur , You'll get use to the commute. The Lady and my commute is usually about 1:15 in the AMs, and about 1:40 in the PMs heading home...those times are on a good day with no traffic on the 401...
One of the big things for me when looking for a place, was for it to not be in the west...simply because of the sunrise and sunset each day during the commutes (especially in the spring and fall when the sun is just at eye level) Hope you've got a good pair of driving sunglasses.

@avoncallingu , I didn't even think about that. I think you may be correct. Our house faces south, so the front yard gets the sun all day, and the back (especially the deck and immediate back yard) get shade most of the day, so the ground is much cooler.

@danger_dan nope, not sharing because it's the last day this year we will have such a temp. The next week will be decent, though.

About commuting, we were just talking about that here the other day. I just can't imagine doing that. Sorry, it just seems like such a waste of time, and for those with kids, so much time taken away from the family.

My son has had beyond enough of the 45 minute drive from the city here to where he lives. He is planning to move back to the city next summer. Yay!

My husband works all over the city, but the main office is all the way across the city from where we live. Normally that's a 20 minute drive morn and aft, but if he works later closer to supper time it can be an hour, but that is rare. He doesn't take a lunch break, so is done by four so misses rush hour.

Last week two new bridges opened in the city so that has helped with traffic flow, however it doesn't affect my husband's drive.
