Sorry for those of you who have to put up with us this time of year, but I had to post this for Natalka....Nat, this just brought tears to my eyes; I miss my family's Ukrainian Christmases from long ago...they were bigger for us than the December one......and I miss my little embroidered blouse I had when I was very young....
I wish I knew where this took place...

That was filmed in Kharkiv, Kyiv, Lviv.
It's always struck me odd that once the song was given English words, it became a Christmas song - Carol of the Bells.
Otherwise, the Ukrainian version isn't a Christmas carol, it's for New Year's.

Finally had a christmas dinner of sorts tonight. My little cousins opened the gifts from me and I got a couple things too. $100 PC gift card, $50 for Timmys. Some chocolates and body wash. They had a bunch of apps, chips, cheese etc. Lasagna, salad and garlic toast for dinner. Main thing was my little cousins opening their gifts and just hanging out with some family.

a very cold good morning to any and all dog walkers who are grumbling under their breath today! Oh man, good thing I wore my new Tim's Christmas red knitted mittens!( cup of coffee kitted into 1 palm, a donut in the other ) They are so warm, the only part of my body that stayed toasty warm on the short walk outside.
Have a lovely day all!!
Hooray for our Leaf's they have a Play Off Spot!!!

The kids are coming over for a Little Christmas toast and I made my Mom's apple squares we all love so much..I'm not sure our Grandson remembers it, though.

Used $60 of the $100 pc gift card. Also went to the Tim hortons in the mall for lunch before shopping. Had their italiano bagel sandwich and a pepsi. Their sandwiches are so good lol especially when free.
Smoked mozzarella cheese, smoked ham, and dry cured pepperoni, baby spinach, red onion and pesto sauce on a sundried tomato asiago parm bagel pressed in the panini grill. Just over $8 including the pepsi. but the sandwich is really stacked with stuff.Last edited by cabmonk; Sat, Jan 7th, 2017 at 02:54 PM.
