Good morning!
Jenny and I slept in until 10:30, I got up, she just got up now. How weird that some days I could sleep for 24 hrs if I didn't drag myself out of bed. I guess it's true about fibro, either I can't sleep or I can't wake up.
As for you people with no snow, herem I can finally see the livingroom windows of the house across the street! Last week, only the rooftop. Still so much more to go, but it does seem to disappear quickly. Not quickly enough for me, however. Otoh, if it all melted in a few days, houses on lower ground or near creeks would be flooded.
Mammogram day for me, and with fibro, extra painful....even every 2 years seems like too much.
Have a fun day, everyone!

Ouch! Double ouch! Spring-looking day today. I didn't need mitts but a hat would have been nice.
I have lots of meal credits to use up before the end of the month, so I have invited my family for supper some day soon.
I have to leave in a while so I am going to snuggs with Tootie for a while.
Take care, my friends!

Happy Wacky Wednesday!
And Happy Spring!
I tried three different times of the day yesterday to post here, and just had such trouble either typing, or I would type out something and it wouldn't go through.
Yesterday was a continuation of "Diagnosis-A-Day"...
I have an owie.
That simple. I don't fit into either of the two prior diagnoses, but may have parts of both. Yesterday my PT brought in another PT to evaluate me... (Let me stop a moment as I remember Cody... Who beats any of the handsome men I may have mentioned properly. Pure hunk. Sigh!)
Aside from the anatomical and scientific verbiage which made my hospital head hurt, I honestly basically have an owie - from doing too much too quickly, and my dainty foot just couldn't keep up and rebelled.
All I can do is ice it after use, use painkillers, and do a few exercises - such as picking up a wash cloth with my toes. I cannot do the latter yet, because they said my muscles are weak.
However, yesterday aft I went for a walk, after not having done so for a few days. I warned the PT assistant that I may not even make it to the doorway, but I ended up getting out to the hall (8m), and in all, getting all the way to the end (30m). Now there were stops along the way to try the two different shoes. We will do that once more today before making the final decision.
I did hurt lots this morning, no surprize.
Rounds are going to be just before noon, I look forward to hearing what they say.
Hope you are happy today!

Pitbulls aren't the problem. The problem is that men with far too much testosterone (or very little perhaps) try to prove their masculinity by having a "dangerous" breed that they train to be that way.
Once again, the problem is damn people.
The problem is never, ever dogs.

I read the post and i have to agree
MYTH: Pit Bulls are all inherently vicious.
Reality: This is a stereotype that is biased toward generalizing and condemning an entire breed based on the actions of a few bad people. The truth is that each dog should be evaluated by his own merits and not by his breed. A corollary truth is that there truly are no bad dogs, only bad people. In his essay Troublemakers, Malcolm Gladwell discusses what Pit Bull stereotypes can teach us about the wrongness of racial profiling of both humans and dogs
MYTH: A Pit Bull that is aggressive toward other dogs will also be aggressive toward humans.
Reality: Dog-aggression and people-aggression are two distinctive traits and should not be confused. Unless a Pit Bull has been poorly bred or purposefully trained to attack humans, they generally love people. They are, in fact, one of the most loving, loyal, friendly and dedicated companions you can have.

o.k. you two pit bull lovers.....slow yer roll!
Yes, I do agree it MUST be the owners that turn these precious furbabies into monsters BUT....and I say BUT from the fearful perspective of a retired postie who endured many encounters with various dogs and the one I was terrified of most WAS the Pit Bull.
Perhaps is was all hype but when any tragic event happened and a kid was attacked and mauled by them...they were toast!
I never found the pit bull family of dogs to be cute, attractive or anything else. The few that I actually came near enough to tremble ( thank gawd were muzzled and on a leash ) sometimes they looked like an underdeveloped embryo to me??
Sorry Don Cherry, R.I.P. sweet Blue but yuck! not cute!! o.k. MAYBE a puppy version I might relent and fall for BUT not the full grown ones.
I was always warned that their jaws " lock " once they get a hold of you....but turned out that was a nonsense myth.
ANY dog has the potential to attack/bite/snap or suddenly turn on their owners or a visitor to the home....it is just that with this breed I STILL have my doubts and mistrust. I cannot even say I could calmly pet one if an owner offered me that. Too chicken!!
Oh and just so you know @GoJays I did laugh heartily at that ADORABLE mug in the window shaying " shtate your Bishnesh "
Goodness look at the time!! I did very little today....gassed up the vehicle and returned beer can empties for DH, made some faux choc. pudding trying to avoid carbs and sugar! ha ha....Once it is super chilled I'll do the taste test.
Get out if you can today, it really was lovely and sunny!

Rounds went as I expected this morning, they have delayed my discharge date to April 22 instead of the 4th. No surprize.
Current goals - to walk 20m without stopping (I can do 30, but with one stop), so that is doable.
Second - to do five stairs with railing on each side (I am very far away from this).
The third is a bit odd, but may mean something different to them than me - I can't remember the exact wording, but it's something like continuing therapy in the presence of pain. (Well, duh, I thought...,)
Just had a long walk, did about a third of it in the running style shoe, the rest in the walking shoes. What I felt yesterday was even more clear today, the walking shoe feels better, and I walk better in them.
So the walking style shoe wins.
They just happen to be cute.
And red.
Honest, the last two did not colour my choice! (Though I am being teased... - a whole hallway of staff from various depts were waiting for my decision yesterday and today.)
Today the program coordinator started rounds by asking, you did pick the cute red ones, didn't you?
I am tired, icing my foot, and maybe will watch an episode of My Kitchen Rules. Neighbour is sleeping, again. Hey, she is 81, I would nap too!

So my aunt is going on vacation tomorrow again. She’s retired so she earned it . Anyway she stopped by today before she leaves to give me a few dollars. She always does too much for me. I hope everyone is having a good day.
