Bummer of a Canada Day because DH work gives them the actual July 1st off, which means dragging his butt in on Friday. That sort of negates the " long weekend " scenario.

ladies....how is it something so teensy, bald and not even seeming real ends up capturing our hearts? We're hopelessly attached, so who exactly imprinted on whom? ha ha

Are you talking about Frankie or men?
I can only speak for myself and say there was a time when I was not teensy (I just shrunk a bit) and had more hair than now. I am still working on being real.

ditto here...our office is closed Thursday and we're working Friday...
I don't have to schlep into the office...but still have to be "in the office"...agreed, really does mess up the long weekend.

Well I'm gone for a few days and already Frankie has grown up so fast! Just the other day it seemed he was dragging his butt and now he has little feet,he's eating solids and already has his own car!.Frankie is a breath of fresh air which we all could use.
Speaking of fresh air, there's an absence around these parts and the humidity is really doing a number on me! For these last few days I have done less and less as this heatwave drags on, despite some a/c.
Whatever you're up to today stay cool and hydrated!

Will I ever grow accustomed to feeding live things to Frankie? Not likely but he needs nourishment. How is it giant animals like gorillas, bison, rhinos and others eat plants but this skip of a thing eats creepy crawlies??

Stay hydrated if you are going out. I went out this morning to pick up a few things at Metro and by the time i got home i though i would pass out! Even though we have AC in the ca, just that little jaunt did me out. If you dont need to go out, dont.
