What's blooming in your yard?

I currently have zucchini and tomatoes blooming in my garden. I also have some dill and green onions that are in bloom because they are going to seed.

My most prolific squash plant is now battling powdery mildew, I've pruned but I'm afraid there won't be enough leaves left if I prune ALL affected leaves. Did the milk spray last night... anyone tried the baking soda spray as a curative.... not a preventative.

quick question about Rose of Sharon,
I have 4 of them in the backyard, they're been pruned into a single trunk tree and they are all doing great.
Im noticing some new branches on the trunks and want to know if it's ok to prune them off now?
I like the tree look for Rose of Sharon and don't want them to become bushes, but don't want to shock the tree's if i start pruning now?
Anyone have any experience with this?

i prune mine anytime i see that it needs it, i've never shocked it before, not even mildy surprised it.. but then again, how much are you planning on pruning? i do the heavy pruning in the spring before buds open; through the summer i snip the little bits that keep stubbornly growing out.. looking at it now, i see that it needs more cleaning up

not much, just more of a clean up on the trunk....i've never had Rose of Sharon before and i know some plants will go into shock if you prune them too much when they are flowering.

Nice lavender, harbie. Wished it would overwinter in my climate. What happened to the foliage on your tomato plant?

LOL!! I didn't have to invade his yard.. this time......... taking those shots involved twisting, stretching and leaning.. and a zoom lens on the camera... sounds like an olympic event - competitive photography
