I did my supper for lunch since I work 2:30-11 or 12 tonight and don't have a fridge or way to cook at work. Did poutine and chicken nuggets for my lunch and toasted a jalapeno bagel for my supper. I hate not having a kitchen to use at job #2 it makes figuring out food near impossible since there are so many things I can't bring without having a fridge LOL!

the Memo's were sent out verbally, but the participants ( DH, DD and DS) so far have not responded positively to my plan of " family participation" of the washing, peeling, chopping of many veg and measuring out, prepping of all the other necessary ingredients for the week's meals. I even asked them to choose their favourite recipes for goodness sakes.
I will update later..............maybe.

Mix and match leftovers. Not sexy, but hey, it's got to be done sometimes.

I made roast chicken, mashed potatoes, broccoli & cheese sauce and beans. The beans are starting to wind down in the garden...they have been fantastic this year. I have a very efficient family, the three children like dark meat chicken and DH and I like the white.

Went shopping at metro at 11pm on my way home from work last night. I told my cousin i'll be in and out in 10mins trust me I know what I'm getting. I went in at 11.05pm and when I was back in the truck it was 11.15pm..
In 10mins I picked up:
4 lasagnas
10lbs carrots
5lbs potatoes
6 pot pies
fries
2 arctic garden veggies
2 pizza's
some spinach
and tomatoes
spent like $44
and my cousin was surprised that it took me just 10mins,lol.Last edited by cabmonk; Sun, Sep 16th, 2012 at 11:17 AM.

ABT's stands for Atomic Buffalo Treats or Atomic Buffalo Turds if you ever wondered what the full name for them was. These are pretty simple to make on any BBQ.
Recipe can be found here: http://forum.smartcanucks.ca/316217-...blog-canada-2/

Sundays are always family dinner. Tonight is a roast pork loin marinated in beer and crab-apple juice, roasted cauliflower, roasted Greek potatoes and another veggie (haven't decided yet) and apple crisp. I love Sundays!

Sadly yesterday I missed out on going to CT with my $5 coupon but DH and I went south and did some AWESOME shopping to make up for it Since we were gone all day we went to Billy McHales and had the Bacon wrapped prawns, tater salad and caesar salad
The day before we went to Bosa food in Vancouver and I was in HEAVEN!!!!! I loadd the car with jars of artichkes, sundried tomatoes, smoked papriks, san marzano tomatoes, and more...... so tonight will be a greek orzo salad with artichokes, sundried tomatoes,feta,etc...... and most likely chicken for protein.
I also am making a batch of tomatoe sauce for freezing and some french rolls again

Moroccan lentil stew--the "kid friendly" edition (meaning, no cayenne at all, no garam marsala, and slightly less cumin than I might otherwise use!)
