Holly has Maggie had any shots yet at the Vets?
Im just curious cause i do remember from my puppy days that it was recommended that until the puppy is completely vaccinated it was best to keep them away from other dogs.
I know she's been ill, so i was thinking the vet might've put off giving her any vaccinations at all.

We were to the Vet last Friday (and I was never so thankful to get an appointment over with) and the vet gave her her first set of puppy shots, a deworming and 2 doses of anti biotic stuff for her spider bites for me to take home to give her next week. She goes back for her second set of shots on Feb 8th. I believe she got parvo, distemper, and 2 other things (it's in her vaccination book, but it's filed in my drawer right now.

We were outside yesterday afternoon enjoying the sun and Maggie got stung again by a fire ant...as did I
OMG...it hurt for 4 hours, my leg started swelling up and this morning I have a swollen white bump the size of a 50 cent piece. I feel so bad for tiny Maggie. At least she will have antibiotics soon. MY dh is going to spray today to kill the ants, and puppies won't be allowed out on the patio for 24 hours, but it's better that getting stung by those critters. They come out when it gets really hot and we have 2 palm trees on our site, and they seem to love the palm trees.

So, she has hit a growth spurt, tiny Maggie has grown about an inch over the past week and a bit in height and length. She is also becoming very vocal. To the point that when we are out walking, people first think I'm beating her, then when they listen and look at her, the start laughing when they realize that she is actually talking
, yep, that right talking!!! Whether at home or out for a walk, she is letting us know exactly what she is thinking or wanting. Her tiny bark will turn into a whine, a serious of short or long barks, a bark and 2 whines or 4 barks and 1 whine. It's amazing. And...she is looking right at you when she does this. If you ask her what's the matter, or what do you want, she's off
And her tone changes, with her sentence. She'll tilt her head and look at you, then she will waddle away, turn around and sit and stare at you and start again. Oh how I wish I knew how to upload the video to here, I've tried everything but can't seem to get it to work. I want to put her on You-Tube, I'm sure she would be a hit. Tooooo funny

Oh this warms my heart! I am so so so happy Maggie is doing good! What a trooper she is but of course all the love she received from you and your DH and Marley has helped her!
I really want to see the videos! Maybe Fallen Pixels can help?

What a sweetheart! Thanks for the updates! A growth spurt, eh? You'll have to update her to a toque with 2 holes soon instead of a sock with 2 holes!

Below your avatar, you put your location as "searching for answers". Since Maggie is almost "talking", she may be the one to provide the answers you need. In Dog language, of course.

hollyquaiser, who would have thought that 2013 would have started out so wonderfully for you?

Ok...send your ds here to help me, today after the gym I'm going to do some reading and see if I can upload to you-tube, so far every time I try, all I get is a bunch of words, no video. If I get that one figured out, then...to figure out how to move it from you-tube to here

OK...I'm saying I can do it today. You guy's just have to see Maggie in action. Yesterday her and Marley were chasing each other around the coffee table. Marley owns a purple monkey (she adores is, just a tiny monkey about 5 or 6 inches long) and Marley was running with it in her mouth and Mag's was chasing her. then Marley would drop it and Mag's would pick it up, turn around and run the other way and Marley would chase her...so cute to watch. They must have played yesterday for a total of 2 hours (at different times) It was so hot they would be exhausted after each go round and drop and sleep for a few hours, wake up and start again, lol.

n This is the baby sock I bought in the clearance bin at K-mart the other day. I cut holes in it to make a tiny sweater for Maggie. She wears it when I take her outside, by the way which she loves. Sunshine and cement, her 2 favorite things lately, lol
