Potato soup for us. SO glad I started this in my crockpot this morning; we got home later than expected from our fishing club derby, so it was 6:30 by the time we were here. There were hot dogs there, but that was a couple hours ago. All I had to do with the soup is blend it with my immersion blender, add cheese and cream cheese, and add a bit of milk. Cooked bacon in the oven to put in too, only takes about ten minutes, cooked that while the cheese was melting in the soup.

When I picked up DD she had already ate so DF and I had (super thick) delish steaks with roaster butter and parmesant cauliflower and plain old steamed broccoli. Oh yeah and fried onions.. Ah-Mazing!
DF cut the steaks at work just the way I like them .

Ooh, your DF cuts the steak himself? I can see why you married him! I like a thick steak, I get sirloin grilling steak at Costco that is awesome.

Small fried steak with Italian seasoning on it, fried mushrooms and onions together, and mashed potatos. I'm anemic and have sworn to have more red meat.

I'm cooking a turkey today as I'm home and its raining. Its a little warm having the oven on but I don't mind. LOL. I picked up a smaller turkey when they were on sale at FB for $0.88/lb. I will have all the trimmings i.e. mashed potatoes, carrots, turnip, stuffing, etc and there will be lots of leftovers for sandwiches, etc during the week. Thanksgiving is next week but I will be going out so I can get my turkey out of the way this weekend! LOL

Thanks for the idea. LO doesn't drink an entire 1L of HOMO milk before it's expiry date, so we have to keep cooking with milk. Hd and I drink 2% milk. Anyway...figured cream of potato soup would use up some garden potatoes and HOMO milk. I was just telling dh that I should get him to made some because it has been 2wks since he cooked a meal for the family.

Appetizer will be antipasto. Then steaks done on the barbeque, roasted red peppers & carrots, baked potatoes, salad and red wine. Followed by warm apple crisp topped with a small scoop of ice cream. We're having dinner guests....
    So many coupons....so little time!
