Spinach ravioli, broccoli and my cheat fast and cheap alfredo sauce (can of cream of mushroom soup with maybe a quarter can of water to smooth it out, add garlic powder and parsley and heat up) and homemade garlic bun (regular whole wheat bun with butter, garlic powder, oregano, basil and toasted in the toaster oven)
It's sooo good! One of my favourite things to make and it's super fast and one can of soup does three to four portions so this is my supper for the next three days until I go home for the holidays I don't want anything left open in the fridge when I leave so I'm trying to plan out what to eat!

Today, no cooking for me - but takeout from one of my fave restaurants - the best chicken burger in the city, steak fries, and Caesar salad; they make the absolutely best dressing, ever, for the salad, and it doesn't get mushy when there are leftovers for tomorrow. Husband had dry ribs.

No cooking for me today either! I've been cooking lots this week..and have lots to do today to get ready for Christmas ( ) <- (that's me today!) so I think I will p/u Chinese take-out later. There is one little restaurant that makes the best Chinese food that I have ever tasted.

It required a bit of shoveling, but burgers on the bbq, ahhh.
However, I will say that Sobeys annoys me in that if you go early in the morning (as people should this time of year in particular!), you get yesterday's ground beef. They advertise that they grind it fresh each day, but they won't give you what they did today until yesterday's is gone. I was there by 8, didn't feel like going back later when it was crazy so I bought the beef that should have been marked down if I were at Superstore.

Tonight I made homemade chicken noodle soup - we haven't had it in ages, it was yummy - and since we both have colds, hopefully it will help us out!

Trying to decide what to have today...it's going to be a marathon eating week, so maybe a nice stir-fry this evening with chicken and lots of fresh veggies..over jasmine rice.

We're expecting freezing rain here today, so I've put some chicken into the oven for later in case we lose power. I've read on Twitter that in Toronto there's 250,000 customers with no power!

Ah, what a nice treat for supper tonight!
Our son is coming over, so when he does, I try to plan those homecooked meals which are his faves.
So tonight, my husband will make schnitzel, I think I'll make roasted potatoes to go with them, pasta salad, and corn.
That means there will be good leftovers for Milan to take home, along with some of the chicken soup from yesterday.Last edited by Natalka; Sun, Dec 22nd, 2013 at 11:01 AM.
