We just finished the turkey meal, oh it was so good! Juicy and tender, took a couple hours to cook the half but I didn't have the heat up high. DH had his beloved drumstick, DS and I got a mix of white and dark meat with yummy gravy on our mashed potatoes. And tomorrow, leftovers for tomorrow, yay!

I made pork meatballs for supper, baked them then let them heat in Ragu sauce. Had them over a mix of vermicelli and spaghettini, with Caesar salad.

I didn't have to cook a turkey over Christmas as all my other family members did the cooking (I just did the dishes!) but I ended up with a free turkey. I started collecting the turkey bucks from Foodland, I had $11.00 and then on the last day everyone gave me their leftover bucks and I ended up with a free $25.00 turkey! lol. So sometime AFTER Christmas I will cook it and have everyone over! Tonight I'm going to make this Kraft recipe as I have all the ingredients, http://www.kraftcanada.com/en/recipe...ke-107009.aspx. I've made it before and its good!! The sodium content is high but after everything else I'm after eating this week it won't make too much of a difference!

I've been too busy to post but in a rough nutshell I have made these in the last few weeks. Shredded hashbrown waffles that were loaded with bacon, shallots, cheese and spices and cooked in the waffle maker , Pizza roll ups using Phillsbury crescent rolls and making a calzone/roll up thing, roasted tomato soup, ravioli casserole, split pea and ham soup and this cheese platter with double cream brie baked with garlic/sundried tomatoes/fresh thyme and pepper along with goat cheese balls rolled in thyme and toasted pecans & cayenne I also added those spicy beans you get with Caesars.
ETA: I also made toasted coconut and chocolate cupcakes with a lime cream and chocolate letter A's with sparkly sugars for a baby shower TWICE since it was cancelled due to the snow

Ooh, the goat cheese rolled in spices sounds lovely! Try chipotle seasoning (from Bulk Barn), that would rock. Your use of a waffle iron is also interesting; I ordered a grilling appliance from Amazon that can do something similar (and you can buy waffle iron plates for it), gives me even more ideas for it!

Neither of us felt like eating much, so husband had leftover pasta, meatballs, and garlic sausage, and two baked potatoes with sour cream. I had baked potato with marg, and salad with a slice of ham cut up in it.
Only then did we attack the Cadbury biscuits tin!

It is late... i am hungry and there is turkey and mashed taters... but i feel like mexican so i am making a turkey fajita shepards pie with tons of cheese in and on the potatoes. LOL... it is so easy I know it is cheating... but not enough because I don't wanna do dishes so i am baking it in a disposable pan and I am really taking the night off.

I have a Christmas cold/flu--darn!! I'm not hugging anyone else all Christmas! LOL...my appetite is gone. I made a big dish of the pork chop recipe above but couldn't even look at it when it was done so just took it to my grandmother's where it was devoured. Today will be just Hot Toddys and Ruffles.

Just put a pork loin roast in the crockpot for supper, will make mashed potatoes to go with it, since there will be a nice gravy; salad, and some sort of hot veggies.
