We had a pretty decent blizzard here yesterday, but fortunately no power loss! Leftover burgers for supper.

Last night I made tomato veggie soup, and we had sardines and onions - mine on toast, husband's with bread.
Taffy kitty was pleased with the sardine bits; Vader just sniffed at it, lol!

I don't know what we are having for supper tonight. We are invited out to a friend's house because she is celebrating her dog's 10th birthday. The official birthday was last weekend and happens to be the same day as my dh's. She is obsessed with her dog. I was asked to make a leafy salad for 8ppl. They will be providing the rest of the food. No gift required for the dog.
For lunch today I am making Chinese food. Fried rice along with a chicken and vegetable stirfry.Last edited by Angela273; Sat, Jan 4th, 2014 at 01:06 PM. Reason: spelling error

Burgers were last night. I had a fairly big lunch, so don't really need supper tonight. For DS, I used my new Cuisinart Griddler to make a sandwich. I had 'demi-ciabatta' from Costco, put on cheddar, bacon, black beans (that I did from dried beans in my crockpot, super easy), shredded carrot, romaine lettuce and....bologna. I almost never buy that, but couldn't resist when Schneiders was .47 at Gateway Meat Market a few days ago. I'm sure bologna a few times a year won't stunt his growth! He's loving it. Questioned the black beans, what they were, but is cheerfully eating them after I told him they were just black beans.

Homemade Burgers with Chips & Dip, we were supposed to have homemade wedges and salad but an an unexpected trip to the Laundry Mat since my dryer started to smell like it was burning part way through doing my sheets we did not have time for wedges or salad so chips and dip was the quick alternative.

Some leftovers tonight - there was some Shipwreck casserole left, plus we didn't have the hashbrown patties yesterday so we had them today, plus potato salad and beer sticks from a local butcher (my, oh, my, they were good!).

I'm kinda tired of all the potatoes and meat & gravy (although it was all VERY good), if I don't go to my grandmother's for a jiggs dinner, I might just make taco's with ground chicken for a change.
