Happy Tuesday everyone!!
Saundyl I hope your husband is on the mend and they can figure out what is going on with him.Must have been very frightening.
Had a busy weekend here, got my shopping done on Friday night (hurray for clearance TP at Target). Worked 9 hours on Saturday and laundry and housework on Sunday. Spent Family day with my girls doing batch cooking, my son went to Golden on a snow board trip with some buddies. We cooked turkey and portioned out turkey and gravy for hot turkey sandwiches for the freezer and made individual freezer burritos for lunches and quick snacks. I have 3 loaves of banana bread in the oven this morning and will go to work at 3. I think I am getting an ear infection as an aftermath of last weeks flu so I am anticipating a visit to the walk in clinic tomorrow.

Did more shovelling. Only about 20 minutes this time. But everybody and his uncle seems to be home today. And all out shoveling too. Makes it easier when you have company shoveling with you.
Backyard needs some attention. Snow is piling up and weighing things down. Will do another workout later in the afternoon.
Saving about $500
on an annual gym membership (Oshawa rates), thanks to all this snow.

Morning All,
Productive morning today made double batch apple crisp, apple crisp pie (used Keebler pie crus), chicken in General Tao sauce in the oven while apple crisps were cooking.
1st load of laundry is hanging. Whites are in the wash and will put on clothes rack
.
Pork loin thawing for tomorrow nights dinner and ham for dinner as well as the chicken is shall I say tiny
and my guys are meat eaters.
Glad that everyone is back to school and work as Friday was a snow day
.
Thinking of making bagels someone I know posted her recipe but I really don't want the temptation with my diet
so if I decide that will be tomorrow. I have good will power but I love bagels thus why I never buy them
.
So far I have lost a total of 6lbs
and many more pounds to lose but unfortunately I have another flare up under my arms so I am not convinced that losing the pounds will help the problem or resolve it but I'll be lighter none the less.
Food Basics in the new flyer that starts Thursday or Friday has pork loin on for 1.44 lbs
so going to stock up as I can't remember the last time I saw it for that price without going back years and years
2019 is the year that we continue to save before we buy!!!

I went to NF this morning because I had to pick up milk for LO and a few other things. I was not impressed when I discovered that their 1L jug of HOMO milk jumped in price from $1.79 to $2.05! Our LO barely drinks this 1L jug of milk by the time it expires, which is why we do not buy a bigger container of HOMO milk. NF used to be the cheapest grocery store to buy his milk from, but not anymore. I'll have to see if his HOMO milk has gone up in price at the other locations. *shrug* Not much that I can do about it because it is simply something that our 17 month old son needs.

This morning has been productive.
I dropped LO off at daycare and dh headed to Regina for the day. I did a quick shop at NF, put away groceries. Did a couple of phone calls. Went to CT to get the break light bulb replaced on the back end of my truck (before I end up with a ticket or something). Studied my cue-cards for my exam while waiting the 20min for my truck. Checked my university email and am trying to sort out some issues regarding earning the bonus 3% of my grade by participating in online Psych studies for university researchers.
I still need to do some more laundry (did 3 loads yesterday), study more, possibly make some relatively healthy cookies (made with avocado, oatmeal, molasses, etc), buy a box of nursing pads from someone off a Facebook garage sale site (for $5), attend my meeting from 4:00-5:00, make supper, etc.Help me out with Swagbucks and we can both earn gift cards and PayPal money

What an crazy, awesome price; lucky you!
I would cut some into roasts - slow roasted in the oven, make a yummy gravy from drippings; alternatively, it's yummy in the slowcooker, too!
We save the best cuts for schnitzel, the meat needs to be cut very thinly - we freeze the chunk, slice before cooking.
For odd ends, I use them for pork stew or stirfries.
-------
Angela, I know what you mean about the price of homogenized milk - without our son living with us, our consumption has gone way down because he drinks so much of it. Husband uses it in coffee; I use milk sometimes in cooking or baking - I love it, but am lactose intolerant so don't drink it anymore. I do use pills when I consume dairy, though.
So a 4L jug is too much for us, yet a 2L i just a dollar less than the 4L!

My favorite way to do pork loin is on the rotisserie on the barbecue, takes some time but it is so good. I will either do a loin half or a whole one depending on how many are eating, also makes great roast prok sandwiches for the next day.http://bbq.about.com/od/porktenderlo.../bl061008b.htm
I will also cut them into boneless chops, for a sweet and sour or pound the chops out to bread and make a cutlet and them bread them for a parmigiana.
I also like to just do a plain roast with a balsamic and maple syrup glaze.
This recipe with the apples is a bit more of an effort but worth it!!http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/f...es-recipe.html

afternoon all.
not a good night. didn't get to bed until 12ish..
then the snow plow showed up around 3.. doing its thump.. drag.. thump.. drag...
then dh came home. my oldest was still up.. so as they dont' get much time together they decided to 'bond' in the kitchen over phone pics..
for ... 2 .. hours...
grrrrr.
so it was nearly 5 before i fell back to sleep.. and although i had plans to be out of bed bright and early.. not
now its after noon and I still need to get the garbage/recycle done, go get more milk. get some more stuff from the dollar store.
can someone slow this week down please.
to everyone above who've had a successfull morning.. good on ya. now can ya come give me a hand.
on the bright side.. my new crafting has afforded me the weightloss of nearly 5 lbs so far. i nearly crapped when i saw the #'s.
this could be an extremely beneficial talent.
pork loins.. i usually put it in the slow cooker and let it go for HOURS.. then turn it into pulled pork
if dh doesnt' get his hands on it and turn it into pork chops first.
anyway. off to get some catch up reading on flyers done. then work on some housework before heading out anyway and getting my errands done.
suns out and eventually its supposed to be above 0 for a few days...and chance of rain.. heres hoping the snow goes away.Be Strong
Be True
Be You.
Simple as that!

My inquiring mind wants to know the bagel recipe! Congrats on the weight loss! I know how hard it is to take it off and keep it off. I'm a Weight watcher member (yes I hate the price, but love the results) and have lost 75lbs in about a year and a half. Slow but steady.
Today has been a really really slow and lazy day. Hubby had to work last night from midnight to 3 am and then from 6am -9am. It's supposed to snow tonight, so I think he'll be out late again. I hate sleeping alone, so I generally stay up late if he's working.
I was planning to make strawberry/black currant jam and cookies today, but honestly it seems like too much work! I'm going to finish up my mailings and Ebay listing and then go and get the strawberry jam done for sure.
Cubs tonight and we're going to the Oval for a skate. I will supervise as my knees do NOT like skating..
Supper tonight will be chicken strips, pasta and green beans. Quick supper before hubby goes out to do respite care and I go to Cubs
