Milan came over for supper tonight, so I made a silly (but yummy!) meal of squidogs, served with the sauce I would usually make for weenies and beans casserole; plus we had a nice big salad to go with it all.
Skinny Cow chocolate ice cream sandwiches for dessert.

Roast chicken with chunks of onion, plus hashbrown casserole with a glass of milk. I was going to cut of veggies that I bought from the Hutterites on Saturday, but I was running out of time and needed to go tutor a little girl at the public library.

I get tired of trying to make interesting meals. I really love chicken mandarin salads, & pasta salads but the boys around here do not.

Oh Loocie I hear you!! " we " all made a giant gluten free lasagna on Sat after DH and DS queried " what are we having for dinner ?" I said nothing unless I get help making a lasagna....so out came their strong hands to grate the cheeses, chop the onions, pick some of my herbs out back, open the cans of tomato paste. It was put together in half the time!! For smart guys they sure are dumb to think food cooks itself!

Last night I made BBQ Sausages with roasted broccoli & Cauliflower and roasted potatoes, not bad for being on my own.

This time I used linguine instead of spaghetti and it worked fine.

You just cut up weiners - into six is just the right size. Insert dry pasta - I use five or six pieces, boil til pasta is done.
    Serve with sauce.

I didn't use long enough strands this time, I just forgot I suppose. I snapped them into three pieces, should have done only two.

They are fun for adults to eat, too!

Gosh, I am so sick of having limited food to cook!

Tonight, pork steak again. Think I'm just going to bake it with just very basic spices - s+p, garlic, with onions. Hm... sides - think I'll put in some potatoes to roast partway through while the meat is roasting, and we'll have some mixed veggies with this.

spicy italian sausage (nom nom!), perogies and normandy mixed vegetables. All four burners on the stove going on the warmest day of the summer yet. lol. I'm so stupid but the BBQ is out of propane!

Tonight was just hot dog and chips too hot to stand in front of the BBQ and wanted something simple and quick.
