two splurges the other day!! A new bicycle for me and a new gazebo for the backyard! Just figuring out where to trim now to ease these two purchases into the fold.......I've got it! NO wine for a few months.....( yeah like THAT would happen ). I'm just kidding around, we have the funds available from our CRA refunds.

We went to grande prairie for Easter with bfs family. Costco sure hurts the budget but we got tons of stuff we needed to replace for way cheaper than at home. I also got my niece her birthday gift and mailed it, the wool for one of my sister's Xmas gift and my mom's birthday gift, a 2nd sisters birthday gift and fun mail stuff for my nice and nephew.

Where oh where is this week going.
Yesterday was not a good day, it was just one of those days. I woke up in a mood I could not shake. I spent most of the day feeling nervous and feeling like I was going to be sick or wanting to burst into tears. I still do not know what brought on this mood but the good news is I did not do either but was not a good day so I cancelled my bday plans as I felt it was best for me not to be around others.
Work is still totally insane, we had our managers meeting and my low for the month was our current project and admitting to everyone we will not meet our timeline so we voted to postponed everything for a week to give us time to complete the project. Not the best feeling to have to admit we cannot meet the deadline but it is what it is. We are now working with out computer people to see what can be done for next time. This also means I will be working all weekend to meet the new deadline.
On a good note tonight after work I decided to build the last 2 drawers to go under my bed. Mom fell asleep well I emptied the boxes so I built them alone but that is fine they weren't hard to do. So now I just need to build my dresser which I may or may not get to this weekend only time will tell.
After the over spend on last week's grocery I am trying to not buy any groceries this week but it might be hard. My travel ban at work has been extended a week and I had planned to be away next week which would have made it easier to not shop. Now I will be staying home and working with some of the people who are transitioning roles so I may need to grocery shop.
Alright well time to see how far I can get with this work stuff before I give in and go to bed. Have a great night everyone.

I did my bloodwork yesterday and received a call at lunch time today telling me that I could do my CAT Scan tomorrow. Less than 24hrs notice doesn't work for childcare, so they booked my scan for early next week. I got some details today that I'm not looking forward to. I have to not eat for a minimum of 4hrs before going to the hospital. I apparently have to drink a contrast drink every 30min x3, plus get a contrast dye by IV for the scan itself. I don't get to eat because the dye causes some people to become nauseated. I'll be at the hospital for 3hrs in order to do my 10min scan. They still don't know how they lost the requisition. I plan on following up on that after my scan is done and the vascular surgeon in London, Ontario, has the test results. They said that it's fine to nurse, but Dh and I aren't completely convinced. I am planning on avoiding nursing for 6hrs or so after the test is over to help make sure that nothing is in my milk. I have some milk in the freezer and the twins now drink water from a sippy cup during meal times, so they might take milk from it too. I can also pump closer to that date and they can have solids too. Here's hoping everything goes smoothly.

Good morning everyone.

Had a restless night, so dealing with 1 hr's sleep instead of my requisite 4, blech. Brats are insisting I make them a fancy breakfast in bed - seems kibble in a bowl is beneath them.
I feel so bad for Lily dog, she wants to get up on her bench to look out the window, but is not keen on sing the makeshift steps I've created or letting me try to help her up. Have friends dropping by on the weekend, whom Lily LOVES, so she might be more inclined to let them pick her up. We'll see. At the very least, both will be spoiled.
Better go see what's going on in the world, before I indulge the roommates.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Morning! A rainy day here today. Good day to be at work. Last night I made toasted westerns for dinner with fries. Youngest wanted a 2nd one later on. That boy can eat! Oldest ate the leftover ham. So I went to GT and bought 4 more for less then $10 with sale and coupon. Will chop some up for quick westerns. That will be our quick meal for the next month when needed.
Tonight my honey is making bacon pasta.
Hope everyone has a fantastic day!
