Crazy day of running around. No Frills had the 1/2 pint blueberries and raspberries on for 88 cents. I had an offer for 400 points for each pack. So the half pint was a better deal.
stopped at Panera for my free bagel. Both DH and I have a free daily bagel, but it's not always convenient. The cashier let me use both cards, so now both kids will have a bagel for lunch. Free is good.Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

Well what a week this was for getting the freebies! Because of my foot problem, I couldn't get around this week and had to depend on my dear, sweet DH. hehehehe.....*wink*
SO.... on Tuesday I asked him to grab (6)Old El Paso Tortillas bowls @ Sobey's since I saw them the day before for $2.99 - on separate receipts (3 on one...and 3 on another) so we could both claim the CO51. He came home and said they each rang up for $2.49ea! NICE! *big kiss!*
Than on Thursday (the worst day for my foot so far!) he came home for lunch and I handed him two bundles of coupons, each paperclipped, nice and neat. Told him I would text him, in detail, what we needed. I was only having him pick up items that were either going off sale or I wanted to make sure I was able to claim any rebates.
So I texted him to grab (2)Drano's at CDN Tire - they were on sale for $3 - we had two $2 coupons, plus a $2.50 CO51 rebate each. Again, separate receipts, etc. He comes home with (2) LIQUID PLUMR'S!!!! LOL!!! I was like NO!!!!! He said they didn't have any Drano but the Liquid Plumr was on sale for $3 each! HAHAHA!!! Best part - they took the Drano coupons! And I gave him the balance to pay with Cdn Tire money. I was like "honey....we needed it to be Drano in order to claim the $2.50 each" He was like "oh". Hahaha! SO.....we went back OUT to a different CDN Tire (since he said the closer one was out of Drano) and bought (2) more DRANOS.....good thing I had more $2 coupons! And when he got back in the car after getting the right product, he admitted he just saw $3 and Liquid Plumr and thought it was the same. Hahah. Little bugger....so all in all....the (2) Liquid Plumr's cost us zero and we made just over a $1 a piece on the actual Dranos. Not bad.
Also in the text I asked him to go to RCSS (Since they are side by side to CDN Tire in my town) and pick up (8)Barilla PRONTO pastas - gave him the size and asked him to pick a variety of pastas. Just didn't want 8 the same. So he comes home with (2)PRONTO's and (6)regular Barilla. LOL! He's defense was they were all on for 0.97!!! haha. I said yes, but the coupon was strictly for PRONTO and he said, the girl at the checkout took them. LOL! He has the craziest luck! Whenever I go - they scrutinize my coupons....and I'm always conscious of that so I stick exactly to the wording, but my DH??? Nope! They let him just slide on by! (He doesn't know I'm going to milk this foot problem, just to get him to coupon for me - he's luckier!) So that makes (8) FREE boxes of pasta.
I than asked him to grab (2)$2.99 Pampers Wipes Sensitive for my shower gift for one of my bestie's baby shower. Did that perfectly! Exactly what I needed and I was able to use my $3 printable plus claim again on CO51 - good little money maker!
Also, my girlfriends and I are throwing a country themed baby shower for our friend. Since money is SUPER tight I told the girls I would find a way to contribute through the magic of coupons! So far I have gotten a TON of baby items for literally pennies. But my greatest acquiry was this weekend with the $2 Sweet Baby Rays. I decided a while ago that I would trade for a bunch of these coupons in hopes of a sale just like this one! I guesstimated that we would need around 25 bottles. So I traded and got 25 coupons and headed to RCSS last night. (my ability to walk has gotten better and I wanted to make sure I was at least there to help with my hubby, who did all the real heavy lifting!
). I was worried that the shelves would be empty! But nope! There were tons there - so we grabbed 25. I had my DH ring through 12 and me 13, for two reasons. One, in case they had a limit or to at least seem that it wasn't so much at one time. And I like to split our groceries to increase our odds of it showing up on one of our PC PLUS cards in the following week. So...again we rang it all through - with a few odds and ends...and when I looked at our receipts - the guy cashier only charged us for 24 bottles and took 25 $2 coupons! This never happens to me! Lol. Usually I look at it and I've been overcharged or something.
So now I'm going to see if Dollarama has some inexpensive gingham ribbon in pink that I can wrap around the bottles and I want to print out the word "Girl" on little stickers (which I have leftover from my wedding invites) and than over the words "Rays" I'll stick "Girl" so it'll read: Sweet Baby Girl!

FIL shared a sinus cold with us. The twins and I have caught it so far, baby boy doesn't have it so bad yet. They brought a nice educational game and book set for ds. We like it. He has t wanted us to ready books to him for a while. I think we need to reduce his electronics time. He used to really love his story time. He'd get us to read 4 in a row before we would cut him off.

awesome deals, cally - J&C - same thing happens with my husband, he'll buy the wrong thing, they take the coupons off; he gets away with using more than one coupon - not intentionally, etc. And, sure he's handsome, but maybe the cashiers just feel sorry for him shopping, I dunno....

Lol J&C & Natalka! I think you two are on to something! They probably pity them! But my DH is a super cute bearded mechanic......so I'll take it as a compliment too! Lol.
Just came back from RCSS....had to finish up my shopping, when I looked at my PC Plus points I noticed they gave me a bonus 10,000 points for spending over $100.....except I didn't?! I spent $80 and even before coupons it would have been around $96? Lol. Oh well! Not complaining!

@lilo0003 : Central Parkway and Mavis, yes. I haven't been in years and years, but it used to be nice. To be honest, I had an enviable employee discount card from an in-law on my side of the family. I got 10% off any purchase, plus cash back on my rewards cards, and when they took coupons, it would be applied before the 10% discount, but the 10% was applied on the full value. A discount on a discount! It was far, but we made a monthly trip and bought all our big purchases like huge bags of rice.
@Granger :
I almost laughed until I cried. No, DH would never leave me while in labour, but if he left and it began while he wasn't home, it's a possible scenario. He works about an hour and a half or two hours away, so it's just like him being at work, really.
I love the idea of knuckle sandwiches. May I please pre-order two trays of those?
I will accept virtual ones, because I know you are too kind to be serious. I think I will have to try and make some homemade dishes with lots of ginger and sauce. DH's family won't touch anything that they haven't tried before.
This pregnancy has made me super emotional, cranky, and somewhat crazy. I have no patience anymore. When LO gives me a hard time, I have no energy to discipline and really feel like lying down. Sometimes, if DH is home, I let him talk to her and I leave the room and get into bed for ten minutes. I'm just that exhausted.
@coupon girl : Yes, lots of pelvic pain starting at nine weeks and one pound gained. It's funny, but at that time, I was still running and no pain while I was running. It came later when I was just sitting watching a movie. I thought it was my body complaining at me to shift. First pregnancy, I think I had it as well but I thought it was just the extra weight.
@jasperandchar : Is there an RCSS nearby? I always glance at the shopping cart return in the parking lot or lobby. I always seem to find extra flyers in them, so you might be lucky!
I tried starting laundry today at 10 AM. Now it's past 1 AM of the next day and I'm just hanging the second load to dry. Phew!

Morning all,
Wishing everyone a great day
@cath007 keep up the great work (organizing and purging)
The weather forecast is not great for the next few days, glad I did most on Sunday BUT we need the rain so bad.
The garden is all planted, dh went overboard BUT that's okay, we'll be eating so many different veggies all summer long. I want to can and/or freeze the extras. Here's what was planted 2 rows of corn, 19 tomato plants (last year was 14 and I was so tired at the end), sweet peas, purple, yellow & green beans, celery, 2 types of lettuce, strawberries, gourds, cucumbers, peanuts, pumpkins and tons more I can't remember
My goals for the week -
1. call internet provider about throughput from April into May (3 days = 8.5gbs) which pushed us into overage @ $1 per gb
and about there throughput figures being wonky for the last 3 months. Saying we used x today and then tomorrow it's lower or worse higher!
2. organize stand up freezer since it looks like Jenga game (watch your toes
).
3. Bathroom cleanup from top to bottom
4. create meal plan for the next 2 weeks
5. Post a few items for sale (large pieces in the garage)2019 is the year that we continue to save before we buy!!!

Had a lovely weekend with one of our out of town sons/daughter in law + a few others - they were in town for a wedding. You get all our boys together and it is a zoo but just a blast. Made lots and lots of homemade iced tea - very hot here. Anyway, laundry is on the go and all is peaceful again and that is most welcome after the busyness
