Two Juicy Jumbo dogs with a generous serving of rosemary roasted butternut squash casserole. Banana loaf cake (some pieces) for dessert. Will have tea soon.

Today I decided start getting things done for Christmas.. my first thing on list was get Eggs in pickle .. longer their in pickle better they taste .. so I was mood for egg sandwich afterwards .. ohhh it was so good been while since I had one

last night was an easy night, i made hot dogs (didnt have dog buns so i used hamburger buns, cut the dogs in two and we were good to go)
Tonight im making meat loaf with mashed and carmelized carrots, salad, gravy and Yorkshire pudding. Dessert im making Key Lime Pie later on.

..my party was great, good time for sure..my head only hurts a little..getting ready to watch football, dinner will be simple..maybe chicken fingers and/or nachos. I have chili to go with the nachos..gallons of water and probably a diet coke

^ Oh, I love a good fruitcake, too. I really miss my mom's; one of my sisters makes an amazing one, but I doubt she made any this year since her husband is very ill. Hoping to pick one up at a bake sale this year - cuz the store bakery ones just don't cut it...
Supper tonight - ah, my husband is making schnitzel (love both him, and his schnitzel!) It's been a while since he's done it.
I'll make mashed potatoes, with cooked peas and carrots to go with.

Hi keljo .. yes .. we always pickle herring.. since my dad pass away almost 3 years November 27 .. I just haven't had what it takes do any since .. something we done together every year .. always made sure we had enough for Good Friday dinner and Christmas Eve for dinner.. Newfie tradition at our home .. my Grandmother always pickle cabbage... have you ever tried cabbage??
