..several weeks ago I baked a ham and I kept the bone and some of the meat and put in the freezer, so today seeing that its a cold, miserable day I'm going to make a Red Lentil Soup with Ham & Curry

..my soup turned out excellent!! followed this recipe: https://www.creative-culinary.com/re...up-with-curry/
instead of using chicken broth I used the ham bone to make my own stock and then chopped up the extra ham and added to the soup (instead of the bone) and added a sprinkle of red pepper flakes; will definitely make this again...and the best part is there is leftovers for tomorrow & extra ham for an omelette tomorrow morningLast edited by KelJo; Sat, Nov 11th, 2017 at 04:39 PM.

Thinking some sort of nice Sunday Dinner since we will both be home. We have either a pork or beef roast in the freezer, both are options. Will think about it and see what I can come up with

Was going to use the slow cooker today but forgot to thaw the meat early enough so will just make a hearty stew instead. Trying to convince myself to stay inside today and the leaves can wait.

Plans changed yesterday, ended up having lupper at Dragon Rolls yesterday after Remembrance day service and the obligatory stop at the legion.
So Spiral ham tonight. Going to do scalloped potatoes, eggplant parmigiana and steamed broccoli.
