..had a busy kitchen day...cooked a sirloin tip oven roast , roasted in the oven on a bed of onion & poked the roast with about 8 garlic clove pieces & black pepper...had a bunch of potatoes to use so made oven crispy fries (cut potato shoestring style, soak in water for an hour or so, drain & dry completely, toss with EVOO , S&P, and fav.spices, today I used garlic powder, chili powder and basil) cook single layer on a baking sheet @425 until crispy, flipping every 10-15 mins) made dressing (toasted bread crumbs, savory , mixed with sauteed onion, butter, small amount of sugar S &P) ..then slice the beef, pile fries on a plate, cover all with the dressing & then top with beef gravy--YUMMO!
and I made this Raspberry Lemon Pound Cake, its really delicious, I skipped the glaze....

Came home to oven soya chicken legs with mashed potatoes and canned corn (Love making potato pizza with the potatoes and the corn. Layer of potatoes on the plate then a layer of ketchup and then the corn on top)

Mcains French fries, Janes beer battered fish sticks, cucumber salad, and Mann’s sugar snap peas.
The Janes fish sticks baked up nicely without sticking to the pan, but the fish inside was puréed and mushy. It was our first time trying these.

It’s friday so it’s usually fish. I’m marinating a wild sockeye salmon filet in sweet Asian sauce and will grill it along with baby bok choy and zucchini. I’m making an Asian coke slaw to go with.
