Good morning!

It's an ice covered city today, one of the few times I am glad to be stuck inside.
Hearing on the radio, at airport a plane heading for Denver slid off the runway and there are tractors working to pull it back. School bus slid through an intersection and ended up in someone's yard, right up to their house. No one hurt.

I am sure there will be many fender benders today. Hoping my men stay safe - and everyone else out there!

I'm just going to wash up, work on the shopping list, and wait for the OT to come in a few hours.
I didn't sleep until after three this morning, so slept less than three hours - can't wait to nap!!!

Enjoy these last days of prep, everyone - remember to take some quiet time for yourselves!

Good morning, folks! Have a wonderful holiday, Dan!
I am awake but waiting for the rain to subside bit so I can get the girlie out. Physio at 11:30 and then Solstice party tonight. Lots to do in between.

Our male choir director treated us to some wonderful cookies he had baked after a short practice last night. Melt-in-your-mouth shortbread and wonderful lemon squares among other things. (I stayed away from the rum-balls.)
One of the radio stations plays "non-stop Christmas" music through December. I have to honestly say that I have never heard of most of these singers or songs. There's a couple of new songs TH a t I like, but most....bleh! What an old codger I am!

Last day of school. Weary teachers and excited kids on a full moon and the winter solstice.... What a combination!
Is that a bit of Sun I see peaking out?
I had better get Tootie up so we can start the process of rubber booties (she HATES) and raincoat- also mine and brisk walk.
I could really use another hour of sleep.

I am still under the weather. But have to make a trip to Metro some time to do my last shop for the Shop the Block promotion. No one else in my house knows to do these things. Both my DDs don't want to step foot in a shopping Mall or the Grocery store according to them it will be a mad house. So have to do this on my own.

Had a great visit with my new occupational therapist - the former one got transferred to a different district.
She is absolutely wonderful and positive. After the hols, she and the physiotherapist will come together to get me up and haul me about.

Gosh, I feel so blessed by my home care team. Just got another call from my Dr, checking in on me once again to ensure I am okay before she is off on holidays. There will be a sub Dr available as she advised me once again, but she said she just wanted to be extra sure I was all right.

I was going to cancel the appt with my health care aide on boxing day because my husband will be home, but she said don't you dare - she is working and said she wants to be here.
