    Good morning!

Off to the island today, 2nd last weekend to end the season. Next weekend the owners are hosting all of us permanent residents at a party, so a lovely closing of the busy season.
Our DD will be leaving work sometime this afternoon, and SIL will pick up our GS and heading out after school and will all head to the island, also.
Looks like we'll all be dodging rain along the way, though, dang it. I love the rain, just not travelling in it.

@avoncallingu ....doncha be openin' that can of worms... I did post that little bunny with the Beanie Baby tag...as usual I asked my DH..."Can I get one?"....he said "nope" again, but he smiled so I think I'm wearing him down!

    Enjoy your Friday, everyone!

I am super upset with my self had a specialist appointment next week and was given a request to do some blood work 3 weeks before my appointment. I have it on my calendar 1 week before so today when I was going to do it I realized my mistake . I will still go ahead and do it but will phone the DR to see if I need to reschedule. I guess I am getting old

Awww...poor muffin...well, @flemeth, if it makes you feel better, my DH was making a pot of coffee, but...forgot to put the pot under the drip thingy. I came into the kitchen thinking he was just cleaning, when I noticed a large puddle of coffee on the floor. So we cleaned it up, thought we'd done a good job...until I heard him laugh when he opened the cutlery drawer! Hahaha! Yep, more cleaning.

I told him, to be fair, at least he wasn't the pilot on that transatlantic flight who spilled coffee on the control panel of the plane and had to land in Ireland to clean it up! LOL!!!

I hope you can get another appt, and that your day brings more smiles to you!

I've never done that but I have forgotten to put the water in
3:30 in the morning is not the best time to find out the coffee isn't ready

Oh, that probably isn't the way to start your day, @GoJays !
DH had everything ready to go last night, water in the pot, coffee (with salt of course) in the holder....all he had to do was assemble it, lol...fail. Hahaha..! Have a lovely weekend, Jay's!

I just watched 2 shows I've never heard of before. A half hour each.
Animals Unscripted ( I think it said episode 30 ? ) and We Animals....if these shows don't get you laughing/and or bring your BP down then you are not human!
I can't be bothered searching for or posting links....just look 'em up if you need some cute down time.

Had a very strange thing occur ( again!! )
The last time years ago it was a very flimsy shelter, plastic poles, thin covering, not secured down to any deck.

This time it was my very large, brand new, pricey fabric ( canvas? ) table umbrella that was missing from the back yard.
It wasn't until I looked out the upper floor window that I saw it rolling around upside down in my neighbours yard!
Yup, these crazy high winds this morning had lifted the darn thing right up and out of the heavy metal base it sits in and I suppose it decided to imitate a whirligig of sorts making its way over our adjoining fence.

I walked around the block and knocked on their door, but alas, no one home.....so I decided to make the rescue myself.
I fashioned a " grappling hook " from a heavy metal plant holder with a long piece of garden hose tied to it for throwing.
Set up the large ladder but as i am climbing up my brain is saying " don't do this! "

Who listens to those pesky little inside voices anyway?
I tossed the hook to snag the inside of one of the wooden slats.
( yeah, it took me at least 4 tosses....clearly I am no Cat woman )

Whoa! That sucker was so heavy to pull up and over! Good thing I had the sense to wind it down before I tried to bring it back over the fence, the wind was fighting me all the way.

So???? How was everyone else's morning?

Oh @walkonby ! I am sorry, but your umbrella retrieval made me chuckle!

We're under an extreme weather watch. It does look like,"It's fixin' to come a goodun!" to quote my DHS's quote from a movie we liked. Luckily Tootie will be blithely ignorant of its comings and goings.

@Lynn49 what was the name of that fragrance that you like that your daughter buys for you? I am putting an order in to my company and I would like to try that essence.

My next wedding is next Saturday- I'm going to research what the weather is supposed to be like. It's planned to be outside.

I hope that everyone is enjoying the beginning of a wonderful weekend.

@avoncallingu , it's Gucci Eau de Parfum II
Squarish bottle, pink perfume, very heavy glass stopper.
    My signature scent.
It's on my NY list along with a new Michael Kors watch ... the chocolate one this time!

    Satisfying Saturday to all!

On a more pungent note ... Neighborhood is the fragrance of skunk this morning and neighbour down the street is scrubbing his dog. What a way to start the weekend!!
