Good morning!
Has everyone tuned into CTV for Sudbury's choirs' O Canada song rendition? Good for our choir members!!
@walkonby , Darwinism is sorting out the Republican problem in the US....stupid is as stupid does. Fewer Americans, by their own choice....all drinking the rancid Kool-Aid the orange-guy is serving to them on a platter. He's not too far from succumbing to that virus, either. It's so difficult to understand how people can blindly follow someone a la cult leaders, but here we are, witnessing it first-hand. Leave your intelligence and common sense at the door!
@flemeth , you're doing it right. It's not safe out there, even with few or no cases here in our city, it's still frightening. I'm going to be much more careful when we get back to camp tomorrow after those gals congregated shopping and having lunch out yesterday. I just don't understand it, flemeth, what's difficult about comprehending "social distancing"?
However!
HAPPY CANADA DAY, everyone!

Why is the song hallelujah sung like a hymn? I've obviously lost my ability to comprehend the meaning in this poem.
........ok, I looked up the meaning of the lyrics and although I enjoy hearing it played and sung, I'm still not convinced it's a hymn. Pretty, though.
And I've always loved Leonard Cohen, since high school...Last edited by Lynn49; Wed, Jul 1st, 2020 at 12:03 PM.

Happy Canada Day!
@Lynn49 - there are so many morons out there who think this pandemic is just a big joke. Those are the ones who deserve to get sick.They need a 2x4 to the head to knock some sense into them
@walkonby - I love the hosta flowers, glad to hear that yours is bloomingI have lots of flower stalks coming up with buds but none are quite open yet. If I remember, I will take some pictures
@flemeth - it's good that your family is staying in their bubble. I wish ours would. We've started going to the inlaws'. Only with fil and mil there though. Sil and her SO haven't been invited the same time as us, so that's good at least.
@Natalka - what causes the blisters on your legs, if you don't mind me asking. I hope you get a little bit of relief when the nurse comes with her magical salve

Afternoon all. Canada Day is in full swing here!!
ha ha . Kidding. 2 out of the 4 of us are still asleep! ( shift guys, I shouldn't pick on them )
It's back to the grind again on Thursday anyways....so not worth a mid week single holiday.
The weather is unbearable, I did try relaxing in the gazebo but surrendered after only 15 minutes or so.
The A/C welcomed me back inside with open vents! It is actually too hot to bother cooking, so I didn't.
Let the crying begin ( when the guys wake up.....tee hee )
Oh and @GoJays as I was surfing amazon ( bored ) this mug popped up and reminded me of you, although you're probably not a teetotaler.
Happy Canada Day all!!

@GoJays
The blisters come from my heart condition, congestive heart failure. It has to do with blood circulation, so I have stumped them since I still get blisters even though my circulation would be good at that time.
The two sides of my heart are working just over 40% each.
The magic for these wounds is a mesh with real silver in it - it can sting, but has been okay since yesterday. That is covered with gauze, then strips of compressed bandages (tighter than compression stockings).
The toe blister is a new thing, though.
....
Our son is over for a visit, he has gone to pick up supper. Fingers crossed that I can eat, and not feel so much nausea.
Hope everyone has had a lovely day!

Wow, it's early. A surprise, really, since I was on the phone with my DD until 11:30 last night. She wanted a Cricut, so we researched styles, etc, settled on a bundle from Cricut which was an amazing deal. Then we planned her Hubby's b'day on Saturday. I hope we don't forget his gifts, lol!
Another hot day, off to camp!
I hope everyone can keep cool today even if it involves perching on a block of ice.
@Natalka , I wish you a pain-free, healing day.Group hug for you.
Take care, my Friends, keep safe.
