Good morning, @flemeth , @danger_dan , @walkonby , @GoJays and anyone else who checked in while I was typing that, and anyone else who shows up today!
We're heading home today for a few days...but we'll wait until a streak of rain passes. No hurry. The weather has been great, a little too humid for my asthma so I stayed in when the humidity and heat were at their worst.
Enjoy your day, everyone!

Good morning everyone!
I'm in a quandry. My laptop, which is the only device from which I can print, is totally screwed up- Windows 10, Google passwords, error messages and I am trying to work on a wedding ceremony-picking bits and pieces from here and there. I'm about to pull my hair out!
But, if I employ Geek Squad, it's going to probably cost over $100 and my IT friend is advising my to get a Chrome Book-everything gets stored on the cloud. -about $250.
If I buy an older version of Windows or Word, that's in the range of $300.
I can't afford to do something and then regret it and have to do another.
Oy!
It has started to be hot and steamy. It's almost "walkies" time.
Hoping all of our minor complaints don't become major and all who have major challenges have them resolved!
See you later!

@avoncallingu , I'm certainly no expert, but just make sure you're not throwing good money on a laptop that doesn't owe you anything. For that extra $150 you'll have a new tablet and as far as I can see, our Grandson has one and they've never had a problem with it through homework and games.
Just sayin'....

The Windows 10 download is free, it just costs to activate. If you can live with a watermark in the bottom right corner of your screen, that's the way to go. Though a new laptop should come with a pre-installed version.
Open Office is free software that performs the same tasks as Word. https://www.openoffice.org/
Why should I use Apache OpenOffice?
Apache OpenOffice is the leading open-source office software suite for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, graphics, databases and more. It is available in many languages and works on all common computers. It stores all your data in an international open standard format and can also read and write files from other common office software packages. It can be downloaded and used completely free of charge for any purpose.

Good morning!
When we got home yesterday, my DH's bike was overturned on its side! Out neighbours came out as soon as we got home, apparently there was a huge wind storm here, mini tornados and we guess that it got under the parachute-like cover and pulled it down! It took both guys to pull it upright again!
Torrential rain overnight, but a beautiful morning!
I hope you all find joy in your day! Stay safe!

Thank you, @Skippy ....as to attitude, I'm in pain every single day, but geez, if I let that stop me I'd never get anywhere. I slow down and rest when I need to, which can be often in the course of a day. I whine to my Hubby of course, hahaha, and that seems to help.
Keep well, my Friend!
