The cherries I picked up at RCSS are good! Washed them up and had a good handful. I'm sure they will disappear quickly.

@cath007 , being an adult living with a parents can be difficult. Just this past week I was talking to my Sister and our Marketing Specialist (both in their mid to late 20s) and we were discussing buying house. Both mentioned their parents have offered they could move home to try to save for a downpayment but both said they could never see themselves living at home again.
I realize I am the odd one out living with my Mom and it can become super hard when the lines get blurred. Especially right now with Mom's health issues, I take on the bulk around the house, this includes all of shopping and we have our moments.
Right now I know August is going to be a hard month for me. As odd as it sounds my work tends to slow down in August as many of our customers take vacation and people do not want their house worked on well they are on vacation. This means a lot of our staff have time off August including a manager I will be covering. So I am trying to pre prep, I over spent in July on groceries but it is because I know in August there may be weeks I do not shop. I would prefer to have it in the house than worry later. Mom would prefer to wait and see.
Although it does give me a different perspective on how it must have been for my Mom. When my Mom and Dad divorced we (Mom and I) moved into our family farm with my Nanny, Hezy (Grandpa) and Great Grandpa. Now I see how hard it must have been to do so at the time.
Sometimes we all need a little space and to take a deep breathe.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

It is just that yesterday I got the comment by my father if you want to cook and make meal preparation go to like when you join people and cook togheter..I was ..very upset about that comment..He pay the bills and the rent I paid the grocery...it is okaie..we have a better life at 2...but he is against planification, meals prep and ect..so very odds ....and I need to focus for those things in the upcoming year starting in august I ahve major serious deadlines to meet with life project..so I dont want to be unplanned...It will be a critical year for me future and i dont want to mess up
and I am the only one who does the grocery shopping list too..so that is a bit of unfair He would prefer to go to grocery like 4 time a week and spend min on each trip than a big one at maybe 150$ ...and I am like that..I want to maximize my time
We talked about it this morning and ..we will make it...it would be ok with speakingThe goal is to live day by day not to much thinking hahaha !!!!

Thanks Harbie for your well wishes and to everyone else who "liked" my post about being unwell.
Had a great trip out to the mountains this morning-saw 6 Grizzly bears including 4 cubs!!, beautiful scenery, wildflowers etc. It was really good medicine to get out in nature for awhile!
When we got home I went to the local Hutterite pop up farmers market-prices were not cheap but I splurged a bit on some fresh nugget potatoes and some shelling peas that we ate raw. Can't beat the taste of farm fresh produce and worth splurging on that today.

Mom asked how I felt about Pizza for dinner or was it too hot. I turned on the fans (no AC) yet and I think we will be fine, worse comes to worse we switch to AC. It is probably the last chance for a few days as it looks like things are going to get a little warm here over the never few days to a week.
Slowly, key work slowly working through my to-do-list.
Sat down my lunch and when I was done my whole body said "okay, it is nap time." Nope slowly pushing through getting things done. Pretty sure I won't get them all done today but most of the prep is done so if need be, tomorrow I can just do the cooking.
I did get slowed down a little by the choice of pizza for Dinner as the bread machine needed to go on our little counter which I had planned to use for my Instant Pot cooking. We really are limited on counter space, hopefully next year we can build the work station for the Dining Room which will give us more counter space.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Thanks for all the birthday wishes for my hubby .
Lizzie -so glad you got out and farmers markets are soo good .Hope you dont have to deal with too much pain in long covid.
Sassy and cath -it is not easy living with a parent when you are an adult. My dear mom lived with us for 6 and a half yrs before she passed at 91 .It was a lot of doctors appointments ,in ways it was like dealing with a child some days (sorry i miss her a lot still)it was laughter also ,it also wasnt much privacy for hubby and i as we gave her our big bedroom with ensuite bathroom and she lived and ate with us .I wouldnt have changed it for the world as she brought me into this world at age 38 (it was a hard pregnancy and she was very sick during and after my birth)
Just posted a few items on kijiji to sell for daughter and myself ,lets see if they move.Last edited by coupon girl; Sat, Jul 16th, 2022 at 03:28 PM.
