Last night I tried to use up from left overs, I cooked down a couple spoons of tomato paste with some water and than added some left over taco meat and cooked until it was hot. Added some left over pasta we had in the fridge with 2ish spoonfuls of salsa let that good for a bit covered it in cheese and finished it in the over. Had this with some 3 cheese foccacia (sp?) was really good.

Tonight I have no idea mom texted me she isn't feeling well sounds like the flu, she has gone back to bed so I will have to see what she feels like when I get home.

now that sounds like a good idea. I'll be at back door begging.

Otherwise, I think I am going to indulge a little tonight and have grilled cheese sandwiches with tomato soup. Maybe Cream Soda to drink.

Last night was roast beef on the bbq, mashed potatoes and broccoli. Tonight will be Ceaser salad (using up romaine before we go shopping this weekend) with BBQ chicken and sausage for those that want sausage lol with perogies I think!

Tonight will be crab (fake) casserole - hopefully I can find a good recipe again, I can't find the one I used last time - just want it in a creamy sauce (son loves the kind that a Chinese restaurant has in its buffet, but it's with cauliflower which he doesn't like cooked); serving with pasta and garlic buns, along with a salad.

    - added - found a combo of recipes to go by, using combo of broth, milk, some cheese, then with buttercrumb topping.

A quick Chinese sauce that you can add to anything stir fried: tapioca starch or corn starch, soy sauce, water (or stock), salt, pepper, garlic, oyster sauce (optional).

The more starch you add, the creamier/thicker the sauce will be.

I have been away from home since Sunday and haven't had a proper meal since! I'm not saying I love to cook, but I do get tired of eating out night after night. So once we got home from PEI this afternoon I went to Superstore and Costco. I've been driving for days, I'm tired but I don't care, I'm making burgers on the bbq, going to roast some of the little new potatoes I got from a roadside stand on the Island. For some reason I love those little roadside stands - it's an unmanned table with bags of potatoes and a bin to put the money in and/or make change, on the honour system. It must work because those stands are always there!

Anyhow, back to supper. Burgers, I'll cut up those wee potatoes a bit, spritz them with olive oil, add salt and pepper (and maybe a bit of cheese!) and put them in my grilling wok on the bbq. Salad on the side!

Yep, I use that when I make chop suey or even just with stir fried veggies, but for what I'm after it's a creamy-cheesy-milky thingee, lol! I'll give it a shot! AND remember to put recipes in my real recipe book, gah!
