Tonight I'm making baked chicken quarters that have been marinating overnight in a special concoction I made . Friday will be osso buco with saffron risotto with a side salad and not sure about dessert because BIL, almost SIL and freakin adorable just turned 4 year old nephew are coming over

I was at a 3hr volunteer meeting today. They ordered in Jenny K's Chinese food for lunch. We really like this place. There was WAY too much food and I was invited to take food home with me. I packed up two containers of our favourite items, so we are having this for supper.

I'll be making chicken pot pie with frozen veggie (carrots, corn, greenbean), sour cream and puff pastry in single serve ramekins.

Clean up leftovers for supper - all in a pot - linguini, tomato sauce, creamed corn - and I'll add sauteed ground beef and onions.

Today is my birthday and my nan's 80th birthday so we have a big steak dinner planned..kicked it off last night with a shed party...OMG the food...nachos, wings, deep fried turkey, ribs...my head hurts today...lol...so we're having supper this evening and then kind of an open-house for Nan, so lots of munchies and finger foods. CAKE!!! (and because it's my birthday too I don't have to do much....hee hee)

I have work-related PD training at 5PM so I think I'm going to grab out of the fridge whatever can be eaten while driving and call it supper.

As for around here, DH has got a whole chicken roasting in the oven and I think roasted potatoes have been requested by one of the kids. I'm bummed that I am missing this meal because it's finally one that I'm NOT cooking or cleaning up from (hmmmm. Funny that. The only reason I'm not cooking or cleaning up is BECAUSE I'm not home. lol), but we just had chicken two nights ago and truthfully I don't think I could stomach chicken again that soon. I might start clucking.

Don't tell my DH that. Sssshhhh! It's our little secret!!!

last night I thawed a Udi's gf pizza crust and loaded it up to bake. Mmmm personal pan pizza for me. Made the gang a yummilicious beef stew ( pressure cooked the beef ) The juices that came off those cuts of meat were amazing. The borscht soup is all gone and I really wanted some tonight.

I can't profess to understand God's plan. Christ promised the resurrection of the dead. I just thought he had something a little different in mind.
