What's For Dinner?

Found a recipe for crockpot beef and broccoli, so that's cooking now. Hopefully it turns out well. Will serve with some basmati rice.

We are going to do the bbq burgers again. Must of been a hit the other night because it was requested.

We did home chinese because my favorite restaurant is closed forever

We cooked tonight! Pork souvlaki kabobs; rice with sauteed onions, garlic, mushrooms, and peas. I also had sliced cucumber.

First time having basmati rice - used a sample I got of Uncle Ben's Bistro Express. I'd like to try 'real' basmati rice sometime.

I slept and slept and slept some more while the gang went to see Black Panther.
DD went downtown with her friends and DH and DS chose the theatre very near home.
I cannot believe I never woke up until after everyone was back home.

Oops! sorry, this is the dinner thread.
I am now going to thaw some lean pork chops, crumb them up all nice and bake them.
Will make a pot of boiled spuds and steam some broccoli for sides.
That will be their work dinners for Tuesday, but hoping for a few leftovers too.

A few years ago our favourite closed and there hasn't been another local one that compares. Just in the fact that they knew us enough to even suggest spicing a new dish up a bit because they knew our past purchase history

Went shopping tonight and found a 2 pack of Steaks marked down so one of those will be dinner with Baked Potato and sautee mushrooms and onions.

My daughter is going to Australia tomorrow for a month so I thought we would go out to a local wing place for their Tuesday special

The ironic part is that in about two days she will be having dinner with her grandmother there. My mother went there about 4 weeks ago to visit my brother but unfortunately she had a mild heart attack and spent a couple of weeks in the hospital there. She has been out of the hospital for a few days and awaiting her next doctors appointment to see if she can fly back. Shows you how important travel insurance is even if you are just going outside of Ontario

Edit: She has some final things to do and requested homemade so we are switching it up to Shrimp Scampi and my son was going out anyways so he will pick up fresh bread on the way home
