Club Sandwiches and salad. Everything was on sale. Obviously will have left overs/stuff to go in the freezer considering I filleted one chicken breast for grilling. Still 9 left over.
Maple Leaf Prime Chicken: $30 for 2 (5 breast packs) - ($5 + $2) coupon
Maple Leaf Portioned bacon: free when you buy 2 packs of ML chicken
Black Diamond Cheese (500g): $3.97 - $0.75 coupon
Ben's Holsom Bread: $1.99 - $1 coupon
Vine Tomatoes: $1.27/lb. - $0.98
English cucumber: $1.27
Already had lettuce, carrots, mayo, salad dressing.
edited for total: $2.30 (chicken) + $0.40 (cheese) + $0.25 (bread) + $0.50 (tomato) + $0.50 (cucumber) + $0.75 (misc) = $4.70 for two people.Last edited by alicia; Sat, Dec 8th, 2012 at 07:31 PM.

Tonight we had leftovers from last night's Christmas party that we hosted. Turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, and banana chocolate chip muffins.

Yesterday, got everything ready to make phyllo spinach pie, son was there to help me - take out the dough - and wow, it's puff pastry, not phyllo! (same shape box, duh, didn't read it when taking out of freezer). So, what to do but try it using the puff pastry. Usually when making it with the phyllo, it's one huge pie, with the phyllo folded over everything in a pie plate. But that couldn't work with the puff pastry, because sheets are smaller, so made two separate pies. Well, it was pretty good, tasted almost the same. Still and all, I prefer it with phyllo.
Tonight, making homemade pizza - most especially since we have baked ham - just love that on pizza! Also, have pepperoni, salami, will add onions, mushrooms, cheddar and mozza, and pineapple for me.
I make two cookie sheets and one on a pizza pan - the latter's for me, because I like thinner crust, less spicy meat, and the pineapple.

Lunch was a fried egg (runny yolk!) sandwich and clementines. cost analysis: $0.25 (one egg) + $0.20 (cheese) + $0.05 (ketchup) + $0.12 (two slices of bread) + $0.40 (clementines) = $1.02
Dinner is a yummy Lebanese restaurant for a celebratory dinner with my parents, and fiancé. Also a belated birthday dinner for the mister (was Wednesday but it postponed).

Well....I have some adjustments to make.....I have been ingesting high caloric, added salt, some sugar, extra fat and even gluten laden dishes and have been off work for 2 weeks sitting on my duff...soooo, we know what I should be having for dinner tonight right? A leaf of lettuce! NO! 1/2 a leaf!!
How shall I prepare my 1/2 leaf meal? Any good recipes??
