smörgåsbord - can you tell I copy and pasted with all the accents because I couldn't figure out how to spell it
we're going to a family reunion at my great aunt's cottage and it's potluck, so I am sure I am gonna be kicking myself for the amount of grazing and mixture of food I am going to eat.

Sweet potato fries. Sliced thinly and microwaved for 5 minutes until crisp. No added oil needed and they taste almost like potato chips. This is going to be one of my favourite recipes. I can easily make some when I have a craving for a bag of Lays so I can eat the good stuff instead of the bad.

Made pasta, with cut up sausage & pasta sauce. A meal that everything I got with coupons. Technically the meal only cost like $0.75 to make. Woo, haha.

I made a vegetarian "taco". Too expensive to actually buy the taco kits and probably not that great for me anyway, so I bought pitas instead. Then instead of doing ground meat (can't stand the smell of meat cooking) opened up a can of lentils. Used half a package of taco seasoning for the whole can of lentils, then put jalapeno havarti cheese, seasoned lentils and lettuce on top of the pita and wrapped it like a burrito. SO GOOD! Lots of lentils left over for more wraps too

We were invited to a friend's house for supper. I made a marinated salad to take with us. It has broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, celery, and Italian salad dressing.

BBQ hot dogs, potato chips and a bean salad. Not the healthiest or even remotely...ahem...gourmet....but it was a picnic in the park tonight and THAT was what made it awesome!
