every time I am out and about I see so many reasonably priced decorations, not just at the Dollar stores either. Temptations exist still, ha ha
These last few years I have really taken to Red with either gold or pure white as a colour theme. When I look back at Xmas decor from when the kids were wee ones the colours were all over the place, nothing matched, but didn't really matter to me then! lol
Thank you!
So true, Toban! Sometimes new and improved really isn't, is it? The two-piece plastic ones can be hard to find, but so worth it... Have a lovely weekend, Hon!
My rep was cut short, lol...anyway, those velcro rollers are the worst for my hair! My hairdresser noticed all those short baby-fine hairs that I thought were growing out into nice hair, and yes of course they were, because the hair that was attached to the velcro yanked out! I'm back to the two-piece snap together plastic ones except for the very top ones, because the snap edge would show..and what a difference it makes! Anyway, just fyi on those things...anything that dries the hair weakens it...take it from an old lady...Lol!!!
Thx for the rep over the past week! Hope your week ahead is wonderful!
Hi! Thank you very much for the rep! Yes, I love Dior eyeshadows. The colours are very pigmented. I don't use a primer, and they stay on my eye lids and don't crease for a long time. Colours show very beautifully (again without a primer, because, you know, with a primer almost every eyeshadow is the best one). Also I know, that Dior will last long as I have friends who have Dior eyeshadows for many, many years (at least, 6-7), and they never change their quality at all (no bad smell, no weakness of colours, no irritations to eyes). Honestly, that was the most important thing, I chose Dior - for the quality. Though they say, UD is also good. Well, I'll see about UD (recently have bought Naked Basics) but that Dior is the best, that's for sure
Thanks for the rep! I don't like telling my tale but seeing all the posts how all mothers are wonderful pi$$ed me off.
thanks so much, just the trim is that dark brown though, can you imagine a room done in that?! I think it would make any room look very small. I saw your last pic of your blue room, it is so clean and fresh! Well here it is after 3:00 a.m. and I just now pulled the painters tape off the stairs and above the baseboards, even with tape sometimes you still do not get a really clean sharp line, but hey I am o,k, if it is not perfect. So maybe after I take my DD to work for 9:00 I'll tackle the walls next. I am shaky hands when it comes to doing that " cutting in " technique but at least I only have to do it along where the baseboards are, the walls and ceiling are all going to be the same Caramel Cream colour. Wish me luck and stamina to finish! ha ha
Death by chocolate sounds heavenly. You will have to post a pic of your walls Amazing how a can of paint will transform a room for cheap . Have a great evening walkonby! I agree Behr is a great paint. I haven't tried CIL.
I like how you are taking your time to get the work done. When I was working it was so stressful to even think about painting, most times I would rush the job and see lots of flaws later when it was dry. I used to just buy whatever paint was cheapest ( CIL?? ) but now I see the quality ( thickness, richness, and 1 coat covering) in the better brands ( BEHR) so I figure it has saved me time in the long run. This morning I was doing baseboards and some of the wood trim leading downstairs and my gosh the paint looked exactly like melted chocolate!! ( well the colour WAS called Death By Chocolate so it sure lived up to it's name! ) I came on sc to force myself to be very patient by not removing the painters tape yet, but I REALLY want to get at the walls today ( doing them Caramel Cream! ) I think I must have been hungry when I chose these colours?? Enjoy your day toban!
agreed! Once we had the 3 kids much of that aquarium duty fell by the wayside and eventually I had to beg DH to shut it down! lol
Alot of ppl think they are "old ppl cars" but in all honesty, I LOVE the Buicks! My Allure actually has the same engine as a Grand Prix would! So that tells you how much power my "old lady car" really has!!!!
merry Christmas toban, all the best for 2014
