I was JUST about to ask what do you use that many lemons for and BOOM! you said it, lemon water. I have begrudgingly tossed out molded lemons a few times so now I never buy a bag, just singles.
yeah, I updated my post to say that I did in fact get the 60+ long form of questions. I'm almost calmed down now....ha ha
That deli food order you went with sounds like a pretty reasonable cost compared to restaurant dining. It reminds me of our eldest DS ( single ) who's been using this fully prepared meal delivery system called Factor. For us it would be insane because we cook all the time, but ya know for a single person it can make sense. No bothersome grocery shopping where half the food spoils before he gets to it, no kitchen mess of cleaning pots/pans. Plus the meals are actually delicious he says. Enjoy the lasagna!
hi! that food order you made...what is barka?
losing weight on a cruise? That has to be a first! Congrats, as long as you don't have a virus. So true about the exorbitant fees for a Dr. visit while on a ship. I got a jab in the behind when I fell ill on a Carnival Cruise, DH hid the charges from me....ha ha
Seychelles and the Maldives.... isn't that where famous celebrities vacation? ha ha Enjoy the detour!
hey, at least you made something healthy...turkey soup! I made that darn sweet addictive stuff again, this time I actually resisted eating any. DH and DS both sampled a few pieces.
wow! That was some cheap Costco gas! My best today was @ PetroCan. I get .13 off each L with my fuel rewards card. I still paid $1.08 per L. after my discount. You go girl!!
curious? If you're leaving for a month who will eat the grapes and cheese you got on Flash? Do you have a couple of residents who are squatting, maybe a mouse and a monkey? ha ha
grrr, double posting
how lovely that your invite arrived for a turkey time get together at your brothers! I have to keep reminding guests NOT to bring anything as I usually make too much of everything...lol
Not too often-in fact yesterday I ended up cooking the stew on the stovetop. But the crock pot is great if you are not home to cook and it always makes the house smell good.
I'm curious if you regularly use a crock pot for meals? I almost never use mine, ( I think it's the number of hours it takes ), but when I see a recipe that stirs my gastric juices I'll take the hit....ha ha
ikwym about pastry. When I eat a pie with a really flaky, delicious crust I'm satiated. My sister is the Queen of homemade crusts in our family! Those store bought crusts that are sort of flavourless, gummy are not worth the calories. lol.
just wanted to post here about the hilarious cost of those hand towels AFTER the GC you were given. SWEET!
lol!! yes, we succumb to buying those already roasted birds regularly! Walking by them is so tempting!
darn it....sorry you got the darn covid. It will never go away, always a new variant brewing. get better soon!!
I think it is high time your DH learned to eat his meat sauce on other shapes of pasta! After all he is a big boy now. Our local place has a special on fish and chips tonight and the neighbour gave us a gift card there-so I will invite my Mum to go for dinner tonight.
lol! My DH is the best even though I pick on him in the sc posts. He loves to cook BUT seems to gravitate to the same dishes every time, spaghetti with meat sauce is the main one. When he does make a dinner, he goes all out and sets the dining room table up, opens a bottle of wine, even puts out napkins! DS and I think it's adorable when he toasts us before we eat. He's a keeper for sure.
I am so jealous of the fresh fish & chips you are enjoying in NflD. Nothing we have in Ontario compares to the flavour of East Coast fish.
Glad you enjoyed it-it is nice to splurge one in a while!
that Keg get together was awesome! DH was feeling especially generous and asked for ONE bill and paid for the whole table! Yikes!! I better go into my budget for March and April to see how this impacts us....lol.
Good for you-it sure is a yummy dish no matter how you make it!
This morning I cut up that huge cauliflower and made a batch of aloo gobi. Well, actually I modified it some, adding chick peas and mushrooms.of course potatoes and diced tomatoes are a must and this time I dialed up the heat with spices and mixed in extra tamarind. So yummy.
oops! I did not get the chance to correct my message in the rep I sent you. Hit the wrong key and off it went! It was supposed to say simple dinners are often the tastiest.
oh wow, getting a warning about a deceptive site ahead? That sounds so unlike smart canucks, but my anti virus software has done that too, although never for sc. I feel glad for the heads up warnings, how else would we even know which sites to avoid?
Want to hear something funny? i was totally unaware of the words incite, insurrection and censure until Trump was the Prez. Thought I'd use one of those new-to-me words today in the Chat-A-Thon post.
about the early a.m. cooking, tidying etc that I do. I've always been like that during my whole working life too. No one is up at that time to bug me and I work fast...then it is heaven when I can sneak in a coffee or a tea and watch a tv show all alone. Mom's time!
