Chat-a-Thon 2017-18 Thread!

Good morning!!

Busy here...GS and I just made sculpty clay marbled coasters for his Dad for Father's Day...when they cool he'll paint the outside edge with gold paint and they should look pretty darn fine!! We used the colours in their home...white, black with some teal. I sure hope they turn out!!

He and DH will head out this afternoon to see that Pikachu movie, I'll relax here on a bright, sunny day.

GS has already memorized and recited the 50 decimal points of Pi....she's working on the last 50. In our day, it was just 3.147777777etc!! Nope, he wants to memorize all 100 decimal points. Sigh...........Done. I have all 100 numbers written out, and he can recite them so quickly. Lol...he just suggested he'd teach me....uh....nope. My brain's been remembering stuff for an extra 60 years...its pretty crowded in there already!!

So lots of excitement here today! Hahaha!!!

Aw. @walkonby , I love doing crafts of any kind, and if I can pass that creative gene along to my GS, I'm happy. He already has his Mom's math gene..

You have been on an incredible journey, Walks. Your dedication to that program is incredible; you and I both know I don't have that gene, either! Are you close to your goal? Is there a maintenance program next? Now....about that new wardrobe.........

Hello folks!

I was just about to get in bed -been tired all day- eyes stinging- don't know what I am reacting to -then I realized that I had promised to feed my brother's CAT and clean out the litter-oiy! Back on with the clothes-drive across town- I don't like this cat but the poor thing was out of food and water. I will have to pay penance in the cat world!

Joined the steering committee of the Tenant's Association today. I know, I know, @Lynn49 -I hear you.... maybe we can smooth out some wrinkles in communication.

Must try to get a good night's sleep. Sweet dreams everyone!

Hey thanks @walkonby sorry I didn’t reply sooner. I probably saw 3-4 people on the trails but more people at Hersey lake. My posting wasn’t working tonight and I had a long reply and more pics from today’s walk but it wouldn’t work. I’ll post pics tomorrow. I walked 9 miles today, sorry @Lynn49 is that bragging haha. 😜😉

Way to go @walkonby ! I'm proud of you. Today is another work day at the computer for me with breaks to do some yard work. The only thing special about today is my determination to start fasting again, with the first attempt being for 24 hours. I used to enjoy fasting. It made me feel lean and efficient and, well, I'll say it..."self-satisfied" because I like being able to exert self-control. In fact, this last feeling is why I want to fast. Too many things feel out of control right now, so it is time to flex a bit of my own willpower.

Hello! Today is going well. I put my hanging baskets outside. I think that they were giving off pollen that was making my eyes sting.

Have been working on the fence signs for our church garage sale. We meet tomorrow morning and then I have a dr. appointment. He's going to check my memory and give me my blood work results. I presume that if there were any problems with the blood tests, that I would already have heard.

Then I am going to get together with a friend to practice some karaoke songs that she would like me to share at a club she belongs to.

BrotherR is back from his conference and I am going to pick him up and then get some supper.

BrotherB and his friend are moving a barbecue and power-washing decks. SIL is writing report cards. Nephews? No idea. Probably something electronics related.

@walkonby and @cabmonk - you both have been accomplishing so much!😊

@wendymac - good luck with your fasting. The whole universe seems out of whack at the moment. Waiting for the "Age of Aquarius " to begin again.

It's been a busy day, but more time lopsided. I have decided to sleep when I feel sleepy, so I slept for a bit last evening, then a few hours after midnight, then this afternoon.

Son is coming for a visit and supper. We're just putting chicken soup on - I can't wait, it's been ages since I had some.
