I had diner at my cat baby sitters house! Spaghetti with fresh bread!! IT was dreamy. Carrot cake for dessert to. And while helping teach her how to use Adobe Lightroom (photo editing software), I saw a picture of her I should not have seen. Yahoo!!

When all are finished, toss them all in a large frying pan with some crushed garlic, careful not to burn the garlic. Last thing is to give them a splash of soy sauce.

Thanks so much! I definitely need to try new ways of doing things; I've always done mine in the oven, except for BBQing them.

Last night I made a giant fritatta with potatoes, onions, celery and carrots.

So last night we are hosting a potluck at our house tonight. We ended up with 9 adults plus our little baby boy. The odd thing is...the person who really wanted to get together with everyone and, therefore, the reason for the gathering never did show up...still don't know why.

    The food at the event:
I bought OJ with Checkout51 rebate. Plus 2L of Coke & Fresca (2 of our guests are diabetics).
My baked cheese loaf with crackers and french bread.
    Whole shrimp on toothpicks
chicken wrapped in bacon on toothpicks
    Italian sausage on toothpicks
    honey garlic sausage on toothpicks
    Fried perogies with dip
    cheesy biscuits
    macaroni salad
A large veggie plate (radishes, green onions, 3 different colours of peppers, broccoli, carrots, celery, fresh mushrooms) with three different salad dressing options
    peanuts
chocolates with candied cherries in them
mini boxes of Smarties and Coffee Crisps
    apple pie

I think that was everything. Food was great and we have some leftovers in the fridge for today. We'll drop off the dishes to our friends houses this weekend.

all those pizzas everyone was talking about makes me think we will end up with pita pizzas. hopefully he is up to it because I am kinda loopy/dopey today and probably shouldn't be wielding sharp cutting utensils. darn pain meds/muscle relaxants.

i need to keep up with this thread for dinner ideas. i have no clue what to make these days.

tonight is beef noodle, made with mushroom soup (the only time i ever use it!) and veggies and extra mushrooms thrown in.

is it strange that i have been belting this out while chopping and stirring?
i used to listen to the soundtrack when i was little!
