^scouponer-sorry to read of your infection! Time to bring on the food helpers-garlic toast (with real garlic mashed into butter), ginger (pop, or sliced/ground ginger into beef or chicken broth-Aurora cubes are the best and not too salty) and fresh citrus (clementines, oranges). Are you having enough protein in your meals?
The eye reaction is scary out of all the things you described! If you drink tea, see if applying the warm tea bag (after it's cooled from making tea) on the eye helps you.
I'd suggest a shot glass of brandy or other liquor to help the throat but the medicine probably prohibits imbibbing during use.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

Dentist booked me in for a six month regular hygiene. I protested because my insurance company covers hygiene once every 9 months. Dentist assured me that they will use different codes, and that the hygiene will be covered. I drive in snow storm to get this hygiene done. Just before Christmas I get a letter of denial from the insurance company. When I called the dental office to ask, they just repeated what the insurance said, i.e. that it's only covered every 9 months. Ahhhhhh!!!!!!!!! Does anybody know of a good HONEST dentist in the Ottawa West or downtown area? Dentists aren't regulated, it seems, and do whatever they bl**dy well like.

That sucks that this happened to you. Just so you know, dentists in Ontario are regulated by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario. Maybe check out their website to see if they have anything on this type of thing. Also, you should be able to see your dentist's history including any disciplinary actions. Sorry I can't help about a new dentist as I'm not from that area. Hope you find a nice, good one.

Crazy family members. I hosted Christmas dinner and did all the clean up(dishes, pots, pans, wiping the counter, putting away food- took awhile). I asked for some help with clean up but was given grumpy looks and grunts. No help. Although when they attend other members homes, they help with dishes etc.
Anyways a certain family member spoke to someone who was away for the holidays. She claimed she hosted dinner on the 25th, cleaned up all the dishes, whined a bit about all the hard work she pulled off without any help. Funny enough this family member was in attendance at my dinner on the 25th! Seriously?! Rolls eyes. Not getting upset. Just ridiculous how far some people go.. Let it roll off my backLast edited by toban; Mon, Jan 5th, 2015 at 09:37 PM.

I bought a used book off Amazon on Dec 10, it was my favorite book as a child and I've been looking for it for years, it's been out of print for a long time. Emailed the seller yesterday because I haven't recieved it yet, they realized it must have got lost in the mail and refunded me. Which is great except I really wanted this book and the only other copy I can find is almost 80.00.

STILL waiting for a check from CO51 that I requested in August and have requested 3 times since!!! This is so ridiculous I don't get much response from their email customer service. I'm thinking I will go on fb since that seems to put a fire under companies butts for some reason. Arg!!

Still waiting for my Almay MIR which was sent to them in September. Messaged them on FB end of November and they said it was minimum 10 weeks but could be more. Called the number they gave in December and the call went to The States but still no info. Getting worried now. My Friend did hers beginning September she has not received anything either.
