Came home to my oldest daughter and my granddaughter were here for a unexpected visit and my wife made Stuffed green peppers.

Made for a great evening

Baked pork chops with garlic and chili; roasted potatoes, carrots, and onions.

Grilled Lamb chops, Rice Pilaf, small salad and carrots. Butter tart for dessert.

we've had a lot of fried food so today i made braised silken tofu in tomato sauce over white rice

Oh, I know - once I discovered parchment paper, it was such a revelation!

And I used it for supper to make homemade shake 'n bake chicken thighs, made coleslaw, will have with herbed potato wedges and onion rings from Sobeys - since their large sizes are only $2.

i made samosas, then hubby had vanilla chai frappe and i had iced vanilla coffee from mcd

woo hoo to saving my wrist trying to wrestle prepping a butternut squash. Instead I found some bags of frozen cubed butternut today and made a yummy pureed soup. Added 1 cooked beet to the blender as well as some caramelized onions, mushrooms, fresh leaves of basil, black pepper and some nutmeg.

...weekend!!! yahoo..its going to be a fabulous weekend....my big bbq is not working at the moment but I do have a hibachi...so maybe bbq or I have fresh pizza dough that needs to be used--ham, pepperoni, salami, mushroom, onion & pineapple --will probably set-up the patio furniture today as there are no more 0 or minus temps in the long range forecast- FINALLY!!
