Good morning!
@Newfiescreech , thank you for the pics of the calamaris and that jellyfish! How fortunate to live so close to the sea! Jellyfish are so mesmerizing when going about their business in the oceans although I recall them becoming a great nuisance somewhere... Have you seen those "family" and other pictures composed of sea glass? So simple but so pretty!
Ummmmm... @danger_dan ? You posted something about "winter". To be clear, as excited as I am about Christmas, I'm equally dreading that white crap. I wouldn't mind a tasteful sprinkling of flakes on Christmas eve, but they should have have the proper manners and good sense to disappear by the 26th.
@avoncallingu , a day of rest may do your body good...enjoy!
Drizzly today here, enjoy the day, everyone!

Good day!
Rainy and cold here, that will be the rest of the week, too. Bad timing for farmers, though, as some had just began harvesting.

Oh...sniff, sniff @Lynn49 you probably never heard of that sweet lovable comedian Mitch Hedberg but he was one of my favourites! Took him a while to get his own " style " of stand up developed, but the finished product was worth waiting for. Sadly, he passed away from an accidental OD in 2005.
This is an early opportunity he had on David Letterman in 1995....he can barely control his joy for being given that chance.
And 2 of his humorous quotes:
My fake plants died because I did not pretend to water them.
You know, I'm sick of following my dreams, man. I'm just going to ask where they're going and hook up with 'em later.
I loved that his act was not vulgar. Not many people knew that he had been born with a pretty serious heart defect.

Hahahaha!!
Some great lines, there..."I'll never be as good as a wall..." and "you take money that's good everywhere....." Lol!!
I usually really dislike comedians, I'll never go to a yuk-yuks, I generally don't find them funny. You're so right about the language these days though, @walkonby . I'm surely not above swearing like a sailor, but in my own home, under my breath...usually at inanimate objects. Or referee calls on tv.
Thanks for the giggle...

Good Evening (Imagine the voice of Alfred Hitchcock )
I don't really know why.
Well, @Lynn49 , you'll be glad to know that I slept for half the day, under the influence of a combination of drugs that enabled me to forget about the pain which had woken me up.
(Sounds more risqué than it really was.)
Called my brother's specialist only to find that they had not received my email about making a referral for him to get braces. (Leg braces, not teeth braces.) So back we go to the beginning.
Ate supper with a very nice older couple from my floor. He, unfortunately, is suffering from some form of dementia. But if you get him talking about things he knows, he is very interesting. I was talking about trying to start a sing-song group and he told me about 2 contatas that he had written back in Ireland. One, where he sat in a big chair on stage and read the story as a small choir sang their part, relating the Christmas story. He wrote the words and his friend wrote the music.
I told them that it was always enjoyable sharing a meal with them. The wife thanked me as, she said, some people they sit with don't try to engage her husband in conversation. Those people are certainly missing out.
Well, my friends, I made the mistake of drinking an ice cap at about 3 pm. It may be hard to sleep, but I am sure hoping to make it to exercise class in the morning.
There was a lot of lightning around, a bit earlier off in the distance, but I don't think it's raining, yet.
I'll wish you all a good rest and TTFN.
