Off to a very slow start as sinuses throbbing today. Gonna lay low as can feel them starting up again.
So sorry @Natalka for your continued difficulties! Glad you're able to pop in and hopefully feel the love of friends! We're here for each other!
I am still dealing with technology and now memes. I haven't quite got the knack of them but kudos to Bernie Sanders and his mittens!
I hope when I get his age I can be a trendsetter too!

Good morning all . Happy Saturday

Went out for my morning walk and it’s cold out guess we were spoiled with the nice temperatures we were having.

Will be heading out later for some cheap eggs.

@flemeth where did everyone go?? Given the temperature and wind chill perhaps they are hibernating??
I myself have stayed in for two days(except a 5 minute walk yesterday) and my pain is just in high gear because of it.
That said I would rather avoid people and Covid and deal what I am familiar with.

Good heavens, you're right, @Skippy! I didn't drop in today among a few others; I imagine Saturday is family day as well as laundry, housekeeping, grocery shopping for those who work during the week. I know weekends are jammie days for the kids most of the time.

You DO know, Skipper, that when you're hurting, you're not supposed to do any exercising? I learned that from my physiotherapist...if it hurts, sits.
Tomorrow is NFL play-off day and I know my heart will be in my throat with my PACK playing that lying, stealing, cheating bucanneers quarter back, tom. If I lose, there are several bottles of wine here that I can use to put myself in some sort of stupor to forget.

Take good care, I'll drop in, in the morning (whenever that may be for me), before all the action starts.

@Skippy on the weekends it’s very quiet here. Guess everyone has lots to do on the weekends. Hoping that today you are not hurting too much.

Today I will go for a quick walk and then tidy up the family room since it’s the most used space in my house when everyone is home and later make some finger food for the afternoon Toronto Maple Leafs game.
@Natalka hoping you are not in too much pain and your owes are starting to heal

Good morning !!
I've no idea if it is still as cold out today as it was yesterday because I am making Sticky Buns!

This dough recipe is new to me that adds butter, egg yolks and orange zest to it. The filling is pretty standard ( brown sugar/cinnamon ) spread over the melted buttered dough. For the topping I had no pecans, so I used both raisins and diced walnuts.
I wonder why they are asking me to put the filled pan of cut rolls into the fridge covering with saran wrap " overnight "??
That seems excessive for a second rise. Seeing that is is nearly 8 a.m. I am only going to leave them in there until my guys get up.....that will probably be early afternoon.
Either way, they'll be some nice smells wafting through the pace eventually.

Hope you all are snuggled up in bed catching a few more zzz's or sipping on your first coffee of the day.
Either way, stay in.

@walkonby , I'm drooling over those sticky buns! It's been a few years since I made my "Almost Cinnabons" recipe...perhaps Easter will be the next time. You sure do spoil your family!! I miss those years.

All my 6" squares are sewn into 4xsquare blocks, so now I have to cut them all 4 times each and sew them back together again in a new pattern. Thirty times. A covid quilt for camp, lol.

My heart's in my throat over the game today.....my Pack....I don't know how I'll be able to watch!

Cold, cold out there this morning but not going anywhere anyway!

@Natalka , @Skippy I hope your pain levels are giving you break today. Nat, I can't remember when your next nursing or doctor's visit is to take care of your new blisters. Those stockings, poor muffin...I have a pair, tried them once, and thankfully they're not as necessary for me because i don't wear them. Do they put a barrier cream to prevent chaffing on your legs before your stockings? It was suggested to me, but i never got that far. All the best, Nat.
