Tonight is Pot Roast stew over mashed potatoes probably with a kale salad since Mom picked up two bags at Costco the other day.

Lazy cold night here so can't wait to get on the couch and cuddle. Kids are having Jane chicken strips and fries with cucumber on the side. Adults are having pasta (homemade sauce pulled from the freezer- thought we were out so was going to use classic jar) with garlic bread made with the most yummy buns that I have in the freezer

Finally got our hydro back about 45 min ago, been out since around 1:00 this aft. What a drag, I caught up on my reading by daylight, till it got tough on the eyes with the gloomy rainy sky our there. So I am back to roasting some more whole tomatoes and zucchini but this time I bundled up 2 whole heads of garlic in foil alongside the other veg. Lucky that I had made a lemon chicken stir fry between noon and when the power went out.

Clean out the fridge supper - fried up leftover roasted potatoes, carrots and some kolbassa for husband, who had it with leftover chicken bits (I ate the meat yesterday, he likes all the skin and bones-stuff), and bread.

I had a late lunch of leftover chinese food, so I'm having a late supper of leftover chinese food, lol!

    Tonight, homemade chicken noodle soup.
Then it always depends upon how much we eat if we have anything else - I usually separate the meat to use at another meal, and husband gnaws on the bones, eats the skin and junk. (sigh, I know, but he's skinny and he could use the calories these days!)

If I get my own way tonight it will be a chicken cacciatore style dish,
Sometimes I crave a tomato-ey dinner & today that is my wish,
I'll gladly be the cook as long as there are no complainers,
Cause if they voice disapproval, then they'll be dinner abstainers,
Egg Noodles always make it nice & I am also a pasta loving gal,
One final key ingredient to have is a friend & a dish washing pal.

One of the standbys, pork chops in the crockpot. Bought pork sirloin at Costco - wanted a big roast type thing that could do a couple of days, but pork roast was not as cheap as the sirloin chops, so went with that.
