What's For Dinner?

I cooked ribs on the bbq -I had fish ,mashed potatoes corn on the cob last night
-so tonight is lighter eating

Our son came for supper, so I wanted to make something different, so I made something I hadn't in a long time - perogy shells. Also made porkchops baked in mushroom sauce, and coleslaw.

Stir fry veggies with grilled chicken strips over a bed of rice. Will be really good with lots of carrots and some homemade bread nice and warm.

Sunday i made a turkey for dinner with mashed, gravy, cranberries and salad.. Last night we had hot turkey sandwiches with fries and peas and gravy. this morning, hubby wanted a nice homemade turkey soup with carrots, celery, onions. And later, i will boil some Lancia egg noodles to go with the soup. And that will be tonight`s dinner.

Tonight it's going to be chili in the crock pot and a loaf of fresh bread.

This has become the standard "first day of back to school" meal.

Not on purpose, but by accident. I get lonely and bored without the kids so within 5 minutes of them getting on the bus, i'm standing in my kitchen with my hands in my pockets whimpering, "now what?"

Invariably, I turn to cooking and baking to fill my time. Chili and bread comes first, but by this afternoon there will probably also be trays of muffins and cookies too.

today bbq'd some whopper pork chops, the kind with lots of fat..I like to make it all crispy and then slather with chicken & rib bbq sauce..wasn't in the mood to cook big sides so just had Spiral KD with it..

Last night, had leftover roasted chicken and riblings; made roasted potato chunks to go with that; veggies were raw cauliflower for husband and kernel corn for me.
