Funny, in high school one of my classes was cooking. The classes were in the morning leading up to lunch and we would cook most of the food served for lunch(free labour lol
) To make something cheap that didn't just consist of fries we came up with something that sold for $1.00 each. Macaroni mixed with tomato sauce, ground beef and pea's and it was a pretty nice portion and sold out every day. The first day we sold it kids that would normally just buy fries for $1.00 were like OMG that's only $1.00 and it was a hit every day after.

I'll make 3 packs of the great value noodles..but only do a little less than 1/2 the water called for. I will make it in a large bowl in the microwave and take like 4mins total. Most of the water is gone by the end of cooking since all I really wanted were the noodles and at .21 cents each(will sometimes add a handful of frozen peas) not bad cheap meal lol..

I used to go to whole foods in Vancouver and another place called nesters. I would buy a bunch of really nice things at both. After my bills were paid I had a $700 a month food budget so it was all expensive natural foods. They made all their own veggie and salmon burgers and other stuff. Homemade blue cheese dressing $7.00 lol.

Supper last night was grilled pork chops, pasta and peas & carrots. Whole Foods is really expensive, so not a place I would shop at consistently even if there was one close to me.

I landed up making breakfast for supper last night, lol. They had Oktoberfest sausages at the local meat store, so I got them and made hashbrowns and poached eggs. The store had pork cutlets on sale so I got some for tonight and will bread them and make pasta and sauce as well.
