Last night was Swiss Chalet's Family Meal.
Went out to the Bay's one day luggage sale so we just picked something up on the way home. down side to living in the boonies if you need to run and pick something up to is a 30 to 45 minutes drive each way. So cooking is not always an option.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

We are going out to the Royal Canadian Legion for their annual Christmas dinner. the dinner starts off with crudities on all the tables, hors d`oeurves, soup (usually creamed soup), some sort of fancy salad, turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegies, stuffing, tortiere, and Cranberry sauce. Followed by a nice dessert and tea or coffee. Christmas caroll singing and then dancing and lots of door prizes. This is the first of many such Christmas dinners. tomorrow we have another one, but this is lunch at the local Seniors Center.

I'm at work but ordered some food from pizza pizza to pick up on the way home. I set a pick up time of 11.30pm which should give me enough time to walk there. It usually takes me 20mins to walk home. I added their triple chocolate brownie cheesecake for $4.99. Hope it tastes as good as it sounds lol.

Sounds good
At work we had a vote and everyone decided to take all the money that would have gone to a Christmas dinner and put it towards gift cards. I think they are leaning towards giving everyone a gift certificate to the mall here. Some people said timmies, no sorry I don't want timmies thanks lol. At the mall can use it towards sears, no frills, urban planet, etc.

I'm making a beef roast for dinner tonight, we are putting up our tree and watching Christmas movies.
We don't need to be rich, don't need to be famous just to have a good time!

I made this for dinner tonight. It was out of this world delicious! I wish I had some of the smoked ribs my dad makes to add to it but, even without, we enjoyed it tremendously. Thank you for sharing the recipe
.
Last night, we had lemon herbed salmon with fried sweet potatoes and steamed carrots, broccoli, and cauliflower. I blanched and froze a tonne of organic vegetables when I found them on sale late this summer (used the Earthbound Organic coupons) to make it easy, and cheap, to add to meals overwinter.
