I really think this person has accomplished everything she was suppose to. She'll be 91 in January and she's had a very good, long life. Six years ago she wasn't expected to make it as she had a couple of nasty heart attacks and caught a lung infection that damaged her lungs real bad. The doctors said years ago she wouldn't survive much longer. She was afraid to die, afraid to leave her family. The family has now reassured her that it's okay, they are ready if she's ready. She said she was ready to begin her next journey. The heart would be her first vital organ to go but she is on morphine as they do not want her to suffer in ANY way. That will prolong the process a bit but I would do the same for my loved one too. NO SUFFERING. There is no need to suffer nowadays like they did years ago. She is not waking up and hasn't woken up in 2 days now and they removed her feeding tube 2 days ago. She also has pneumonia so I don't believe it will be much longer. Maybe another couple of days. It's just so sad but the family is being SO strong. I think it's because they've been expecting it for so long. They just didn't expect that it would be a stroke that would bring her in the end

Death is so hard. I lost my mom 17 years ago when she was only 47. I was only 22. Then I lost my grandma when I was 27 and I took care of my ailing grandfather for 14 months till his passing when I was 29. I have a 90 year old grandma who suffers from Alzheimers and has been for about 12 years now. Her heart is still strong though. I got so attached to my client's wife as she became like a grandmother to me. She was very cool and had ALL her witts and was a very fun loving lady, always joking and teasing with me. And she loved it when I joked and teased her back. We had a lot of good times in the last couple of years and I am proud to say that I was her caretaker. I just pray she goes soon so the family doesn't have to suffer anymore

Hugsssss to you and sorry to hear about your losses. Life just isn't fair at times. I guess, in the end, it's just makes us stronger and prepares us for what comes next...

You're welcome! I like how this whole thing worked out. I'm the one who figured out who the downvoter was and brought the info back here to SC. That got NS talking to Chandra and got everyone here voting for Justin. Then Chandra joined and the rest is history. Of course, none of it would have happened if it wasn't for NS-she's our most social and most funny SCer.
