I truly feel that the HS where she goes is quite high population of " needier " families. It is sad that so many kids never have the chance to participate in the trips, money is just not there for that kind of extra. Also they restricted the trip to grade 11 and 12's ONLY, so THAT made a huge difference in the amount of sign ups. The teacher's did NOT want to baby sit possible immature gr 9 and 10's, more headaches for them I guess. She was one of the first 20 that signed up, but they never made it to the 40 that was needed to secure the original cost. Oh well, she will have to go " camping" with a bunch of girls in the summer maybe, I could see them doing that and having a blast!

I will face that too one day. My DD trip was cancelled to New York due to low participants. She is in Gr 12 and was so looking forward to that final yr trip. Sad for her and her friends.

Thank goodness you did not have to make a new purchase! We JUST had to spend $100.00 ( tax incl) for a new freaking microwave oven. Oh you know Murphy's Law, @ 7:55 p.m. ( just when Oscar's were starting) DH comes and says microwave is not working.( what he thought I could do about it is beyond me?? ) I told him I am watching the Oscar's, go to WM. He DID!! Plus he remembered to get one with a minimum 1100 Watt power and he got the last one in black, so I am glad. we rely on our nuker BIG time here. I should send him out alone more often eh? lol

I am so terribly hard on myself whenever I break or damage something in the house, like as if my DH and kids will think less of me?? Silly eh? Oh and using curse words?? Ha ha I do that too!

Thanks for the rep! The pancakes were tasty; I made whole wheat buttermilk pancakes, so they weren't *too* unhealthy of a choice for supper DH loved his bacon and I cooked up some apple rings for myself instead. mmmmmmm :9

No problem Hon, and thank you (I haven't publicized it..)....his biopsy on his forehead indicated cancer, so he's returning to Toronto to have more tissue removed (checked, removed, checked etc) until no more cancer cells are present, then some reconstructive surgery will be done, and hopefully we'll be able to drive home later that same day. Each removal/biopsy takes an hour, so it could be pretty tedious...I'm sure everything will turn out fine.
And yes, although it's always nice to get away, it's certainly nice to be home...we'll be in Florida for the month of March, and although it's nice to shop, do the Disney thing, eat out most of the time, I'm really ready to be home by the end of the month! AND there had better not be any snow here by the time we get back!

Great idea, Hon!! A cuppa Mohito tea would just hit the spot! Unfortunately our wee Jenny is at the sitter for a couple of days since my DH is having a little bit of surgery on Thursday morning in Toronto, so we'll be leaving tomorrow for the 'big' city....
