I find the worst part is the loot bags. I said next time I might as well go when Barbie is on sale and pick a bunch up for girls, and hotwheels for boys. I finally got to the point where I went to the dollar store and gave out colouring boos and crayons.
Also last year, we got a bunch of scrapbooking sheets and some water paints and let the kids go nuts painting there own pics, then we took a pic of each kid on the firetruck and a group one, got them developed and sent them there thank you's on there own paintings with pics to remember the party. Alot of the parents liked that, but it was alot of work.

See that I would love but here you have to have reptile man, modeling partys just way too much and on top of that ordering in ect ect and the loots bags these people do here are like mini gifts lol

We end up throwing a big bbq for the girls bdays. We have the kids come early on out, and then the adults later. It's now almost the welcome to summer bbq for our group of friends. But we have a nice big back yard, and you know with small towns, everyone knows everyone, so folks just drop by and eat or have a beer.

Mine are all just starting. WE have thrown bashes for our two in the past. Heck last year, the hubby even went down to the firehall, got the old 1932 firetruck out, and the kids got to paly on it and blow the horn. It was a very noisy day, lol.

HI KK7, all is fine here, just found a card in the little ones lunch bag about a bday party this Saturday. Don't know the parents but we live in a pretty small area, so will find out but because of the smaller area, now have to go to town to get a present, argggghhh, yep what a awesome way to start the day off.
