Got a call from one of my best girlfriends, she is getting married in Vegas on Jan 11th by Elvis lol. I am so very happy for her, he seems like a wonderful guy and she sounds happier than I've ever heard her before.

Hope you are all having a good christmas eve, I had to run dd to docs, go to hospital at 4 to see if can have cast off, then decided to run to mall to grab last minute groceries..yeah right..that was insane..though I did get a bunch of packs of steaks for $3, so that was a good deal.
Had my turkey in the freezer for few days and still frozen solid so now trying in cold water..ugh..hopefully thawed before morn.

Well we're off to London - hubby had to work. It's so mild and
hopefully will stay that way for the next few days.

Daughter in London - they shovelled for hours yesterday then
within a short time, the plow came by and filled their driveway again.
(She wasn't too happy LOL)

Hi friends!

I made it back from my trip.... barely

We made it to the wedding the day after we arrived....but the day after that I ended up in the hospital....pneumonia and bronchitis. So I spent 4 of the 5 days laid up sick instead of visiting friends or family. Only ventured out this morning to catch the plane back home and am still feeling quite icky. I don't know what the heck I'm gonna do about Christmas and the kids. I haven't been able to shop, am not up to going to the grocery, and Christmas is closing in

I think we'll just have to eat at the USO, and the kids will just have to understand that I did what I could. This is the first Christmas for them without their father around at all, and I wanted to make it so good that they didn't even miss him....so much for that

Yes, I am freaking out

I guess it will be ok...we have each other...I just don't want them to be disappointed....

ok, now off to freak out in private....sorry to whine...but I'm just losing it
