Comes as no surprise, doesn't it, @walkonby ...it sure was a man's world out there, and still is in some places...texas comes to mind. That sure would be a keeper if anyone kept it.

Gosh, Nova's a big boy now. Doesn't take long I guess for them to lose their kitteny features; he's a pretty teenager, though!

Hub's is watching the Jays, I've been playing games on this thing but it's closing in on my bedtime so I'm not long for the world, at least as far as today is concerned.

Nothing to report from here except the damn snow is ALL GONE!! It's wonderful to see people out raking their yards, sweeping the street in front of their homes of the sand that was used on the streets over the winter. It's happening!!!!
Our campground is opening in a week and a half, but I doubt we'll be racing to get there; the boys will go first and open everything up, make sure it's all in working order. As long as the tv's working and Shaw has our satellite hooked up and the heater in our recliners are operational, that's all I need. Well,, not really, but it's a good beginning!

    Sweet dreams, everyone!!

Just in case anyone DIDN'T watch game 3 last night of the 4 games between the Yankees and our Blue Jays ( and shame on you, you missed some awesome milestone events! ). Yes we won 6-4 BUT what an up and down game. Most MLB veteran pitchers are tipping their caps to Vladimir Guerrero Jr!

@GoJays , no kidding wrt those cereal bags!! Get with the not-so-new millennium!

@walkonby , I'll have to ask my Hubby if he stayed with the Jay's game long enough to see those homeruns you asked me about. I went to sleep early. I guess I needed it, slept through to 9am!!

Puff pastry tiramisu made for Easter dinner on Saturday (it's best after 2 days in the fridge), just have to make the traditional (from my childhood) coconut strawberries as another little treat if I don't nibble through them before it gets to Saturday dessert!!

one day you're a hero, the next you're a ZERO! Hrmph!! Vlad The Impaler struck out 4 times at bat on Thursday night's game. Oh well, the Jays split the 4 games against the Yankees two a piece. The Leafs otoh were so entertaining, ending the Capitols 5 game win streak. Final was 7 - 3 , and fun to see 3 of the Leafs all get 2 goals each.
Bedtime was a thought, then it passed. My midday naps are probably too long again.

    Greetings, all!
Health wise, things are pretty much the same for both me and my husband. However, Wednesday was an extraordinarily awful evening for me, but I made it through.

Tragic news from my side of the family. My nephew, Philip, died last week at the age of 44. He is the son of my second oldest sister. He had been ill for just over a year, with liver disease, had been in and out of hospital more recently. He is from here, but last week was at a hospital in Edmonton, awaiting a liver transplant - but didn't get one.

Just such a shock. He was married 20 years, lovely wife, two teens - boy and girl, great career in IT.
Funeral was yesterday, Milan was a pallbearer. Of course, I could not go, but this time my husband could not either.
Philip was the youngest son of three kids. Just a horrible loss...
Here's the handsome man. Obit in link should anyone want to read.

How sad, @Natalka , so young and his poor family left behind, esp for his children and their futures without him.
So terribly sorry for your family's loss.
