Thank goodness it's all over but the crying! The tears of the Tampa Bay Lightning are streaming full on as the Avalanche won the Cup!!
What a nail biter of a game. Great entertainment. Best quote in an interview came fro MY guy! Nazem Kadri expressed his feelings in a quickie on ice interview after hoisting his first ever Stanley Cup.

THIS is one reason I've always adored Kadri! He's gotten some of the harshest fines and suspensions from the NHL for hits, while others who have done the same and worse got less. Imho, the ones making those calls can also KISS his you know what!

It's our 52nd wedding anniversary today!!!
AND our Grandson's graduation ceremony!!!
So yes, busy, busy!!!

So in spite of a horrific traffic accident on Hwy 17 last night, the family managed to arrive home safely. Our DD was stuck for 1 1/2hrs in a line-up until someone stopped at all the cars and told them to turn around and go back to wherever they came from. She drove back to the island, called her Hubby and our GS in a car not too far behind to do the same.
Later that evening, around 8pm the hwy opened up, the boys went home, she left for home this morning and is at work.
GS was very anxious to get to school this morning (more-so than usual, lol) to help set up the auditorium.
After the ceremony he'll be at the grad dance there and we'll be at dinner. His buddy's Mom will pick the boys up and bring them home in case we're later at the restaurant.
So! Yeppers, a fun, busy day today.

Prayers for whoever lost his or her life on that bridge last night, and the rescuers and divers to attended.

I'm posting pics of these colourful flowers from my front walkway area for you to enjoy. They brighten my mood immediately every morning and I never take for granted how blessed I am that DH possesses this talent. You obviously have a keeper of a guy too!

Happy Anniversary to @Lynn49 and Mr. 🎉🥳 (with that high number and her young age it obviously was an arranged marriage near birth). I can’t top that one for excitement today, although my tuna casserole may be a close second!.
Life continues on in my corner of the world.Still doing what I can when I can and hoping to be satisfied with it.
DS comes home from Oz for a visit in about a month.Much to do beforehand but it will all be good.
I was going to mention wonky weather but looks like most people dealing with extremes too.
Thankful to pop in and spend some time with you all.Enjoy the rest of your week my friends!

Thank you, @cath0007 , that's a very sweet sentiment and so very true of many things but your interpretation of it regarding marriage is so true. I'll keep it in mind.

@Skippy , the only thing that was arranged was me chasing him until he caught me, lol! I don't really chase him in our high school but in grade 9 I saw him in our cafeteria and told my girlfriends that I just saw my future husband, and of course they all laughed. 2 of them stood at our wedding. As for age, yes, a child bride at 20.
Enjoy your days as best you can as well as all the fun preparations prior to your son's visit!

Just got back from dinner with DD and SIL, the grad ceremony was very sweet, GS got the academic award for his class so all in all, a pretty good day. Exhausting, but darn good.

I'm here, but not really " here". My back is sort of out of whack atm. I'll bet I'm having sympathy pains for DH and his Sciatica return.
Pretty low key day so far, but I should really be planning and prepping a protein dish to go with my servings of zucchini/mushroom/cheesy casserole.
Salad is already there. Does anyone else get annoyed when every meat that comes to mind is just NOT scratching that itch?
Well....enjoy the great weather as summer is here for certain.
